Starbread Bakery — Restaurant in Poway

My sister and cousin recently raved about this incredible bakery they discovered, especially praising the unparalleled freshness of their bread. Curious and eager to explore new food places and experiences, I decided to stop by while in the area. Wow, they were absolutely correct! The bread was nothing short of amazing. I was enchanted by the star bread, which arrived at my table piping hot and radiating warmth. Each bite was an indulgent delight, the taste and texture simply irresistible when savored right out of the oven.

I was reminiscing about Spanish bread from my childhood in the Philippines, and I told my husband he have to try it—it’s so good! So we searched around and found Starbread in Poway, which sells Señorita Bread that’s very similar to Spanish Bread.

We visited for the first time and picked the 10-piece option. The lady at the counter kindly asked if it was okay to pack it in a small bag instead of a box—I said yes, which I instantly regretted because the bread was amazing! Warm, soft, buttery, and absolutely delicious. I should've bought more—and in a box!

Giving 4 stars only because I wish the staff encouraged us to buy more (a little upselling would’ve worked on me!). Will definitely be back soon...

These little Senorita bread are so addicting. Once you pop, you can’t stop! We have been a fan of these when we discovered it in SF, happy that this location is opened in north county and not having to drive to Chula Vista.

The size, shape and flavor depends on who is rolling and it’s made fresh to order. It’s rolled with honey butter glazed and when you take a bite, you get a tiny ooze of sweetness in every layer.

Trust me, you’ll eat like 10 on your drive home before you make it to your destination.
