Eggs Up Grill — Restaurant in Powdersville

I went to breakfast a couple of weeks ago with my daughter, my sister, and my stepmom. I was really impressed! We were attended to right away. I put in a special request for hot chocolate with a scoop of peanut butter in it and it was absolutely delicious! EVERYTHING was delicious!!!! Our food was cooked perfectly and everything was brought out quickly. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience completely enjoyable. Her name is Kelsey. She did a wonderful job making sure that we were happy with everything. She had such a joyful spirit and did her job beautifully. My daughter had ordered a vanilla cappuccino but she had a different idea in her mind of what it was going to taste like. She didn’t like it. She then asked for an iced coffee drink and Kelsey had no problem exchanging it for us. My daughter didn’t like that one either . I’m sure they were both delicious but my daughter had this crazy idea in her head that it was going to taste like a Starbucks Frappuccino… Which we all know doesn’t really have coffee in it. My daughter is only 15 so she didn’t really understand that it’s completely different . Kelsey went above and beyond to blend her a frozen coffee drink! She did it joyfully and it didn’t bother her whatsoever. Most people would’ve rolled their eyes and complained, but she did not. She was happy to do it. She really made our experience quite memorable! Honestly, the food was delicious and because of Kelsey’s shining example of what a server should be, we will definitely be coming back! Update: What a difference a couple of years make. While I still appreciate the food and service at Eggs Up in Piedmont, I was not thrilled with my order today, not the excuse given about why it was served the way it was. I ordered pancakes with blueberries and bananas, which I have ordered from many restaurants over the years but when they arrived at the table to my dismay I received blueberry pancakes with sliced bananas on top and immediately the server explained that "they did not put the bananas in because the pancakes wouldn't cook right." It's strange how every other restaurant I have ordered these in has in fact cooked the pancakes with bananas inside the pancake. Instead of getting warm, cooked bananas, I received warm blueberry pancakes with cold bananas on top of them. My guess is they forgot the bananas and threw them on top to try and save the day. Either that or every other place I have had them must have a special grill that cooks bananas or perhaps great chefs trained in the cooking of bananas. I get it, it's only bananas but c'mon, why are you the only place that can't cook the pancakes with bananas. If you forget them, tell me. What a great experience. Service from Jeffrey was on points food came out super fast and was delicious and the restaurant including bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We have been looking for a great local breakfast place but sadly nothing to compare to what we were spoiled with from where we moved. I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service!!!! I have never had a server quite like the one today! He was nothing short of absolutely incredible! He was fast, friendly, personable, and has the most warm and genuine smile of any human I ever encountered. He spoke to all of his guest with the same loving tone and provided great service to all of them. He was busy! His section was full, yet no one went without anything they needed. He was so attentive to everyone’s needs. We needed ice and didn’t even have to ask, he just knew! He spoke to each guest as if they were a long time friend, all while being nothing less than professional. The food was great, it came fast and hot! We were sat immediately upon walking in and greeted by him letting us know he’d be right there. We ordered drinks and they came right out, and were delicious. I have absolutely no complaints about anything from our experience today. But the highlight was definitely the phenomenal service...
