If they remain as delicious and as nice as they are right now just opening, this is going to be a gem of a place in Powdersville!
The food is delicious, the portions are HUMONGOUS, and the staff was amazingly kind and sweet.
I can not say enough good things upon my first impression of going here.
Upon sitting you get chips with a hot and mild salsa that are very good and a slightly spicy cream sauce (Pictured)
We ordered the he taquitos (pictured) which were served on a bowl of lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese with sour cream drizzled on it. The taquitos were all chicken, nicely flavored with a satisfying crunch. I do recommend putting some of the cream sauce on the lettuce, it makes the salad fresh and slightly spicy, since it isn't a guacamole salad.
We also ordered the Pollo Fundito (pictured). This chicken was also seasoned nicely and yummy in all that melted cheese. I don't know how the beans are because we ordered the side of rice. It was a pretty good Mexican rice.
Finally is the fried cheesecake (pictured). It is a soft warm cinnamon sugar coated fried dough wrapped around cold creamy cheese cake for a perfect sweet/tangy dessert. I recommend trying it...
Read moreAs I have said in the past I'm no food critic so I'm not going to give a break down on all the flavors. I can say that I loved everything that I had and it hit my taste buds in a fantastic way. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned for me. It's a fun atmosphere yet really clean, even the bathrooms lol. I had the Grand Quesadilla with steak 😋 and mom had standard beef tacos and Sopapilla with ice cream for dessert. I believe this spot will do really well for this community 👏 and I'm looking forward to a return visit to try 🤔 hmm, well I guess I'll try about everything. I don't think anyone would go wrong here and I forgot to mention that the staff was wonderful as well, something that you would see in a high end restaurant 😀 but without the...
Read moreThis restaurant deserves its (currently perfect) rating. It is the perfect blend of authenticity, professionalism, absolutely fair prices for extraordinary food, all in an intimate, clean environment. The elote mexicano was piping hot and had incredible seasoning and flavor. The burrito was massive, the size of a large Honduran baleada but filled to the brim with all kinds of goodness. The service was very professional, not overbearing, but always attentive. I have tried the other Latin restaurants in the area and I humbly suggest that Monteverde offers the best overall experience. Will definitely be returning here again and again. Very excited to see people discover this jewel in...
