The server, Courtney, was great and I recccomend asking for her if you visit, we even tipped her an extra $20 for the great service. The cooks were incredibly slow for only a couple appetizers, two of which where chips and dip. And the bartenders apparently are required to take at least a five minute break in-between making each drink. I watched as the bartender took time to take to other servers and play in their phone the entire time before making each drink. I The server did a great job and was very attentive and accommodating and turned the experience from a negative one to one that were just wasn't that good. She even used her employee discount to try to rectify us being upset by the wrong information one manager gave us that was on duty when we arrived but left during our meal. My wife and I called ahead of time to make sure we had the correct time for the half off appetizers. One of the managers answered and told us that it was from 2pm-6pm and 8pm-12pm. We waited until after then to go eat at almost 9:00 by time we finally got to the restaurant so we could get the half off deal since my wife and I were just planning on ordering appetizers and drinks anyways, and just enjoying a cheap meal and drinks together out of the house while the kids were at their grandparents as a treat since we never have time to anymore and this was our first date night in over a year, even if it was a last minute one. After we ate and got our check, we were charged full price for the entire meal, which was four three appetizers which would have totaled around $16 at half price and around $36 for full price. When we asked about it and informed them that the manager on duty told us those times they still refused to honor what we were told. We would have went somewhere else if we were planning on spending $75 on a meal and drinks for two people. This is ridiculous that we planned our evening around the information that we called ahead of time to verify was correct and were told by the on duty MANAGER that was the correct and were charged completely different when we got the bill by the same manager. Applebees needs to set a standard fixed time for all locations that honor Applebee's corporate deals that are time dependent, or hire a competent manager that is capable of correctly advertising information. If you are unable to do the latter, as you have with this location, then set a strict standard time for all locations. Even before tonight I have had several bad experiences at multiple Applebee's but after tonight I'm ready to just blacklist the chain entirely. Read moreThis was a very overpriced hotel for what you got the hotel was very nice inside and out we made reservations ahead of time when we got there they put us in a room that did not have a pool view that we paid for they told us we could stay in the room we had and get $60 back or come sit in the lobby until a room was ready I don't know any family that's going to take their family and their luggage and just sit in a lobby waiting on a room we also paid for early check-in so it should have been ready the shower did not work your choice was ice cold water or scolding hot water no in between we took showers at the pool showers on the first floor housekeeping never came around to bring us fresh towels or bath clothes the AC units are set on 65° and that's it you cannot lower it no more and in the July heat the room was not cool or cold enough to keep you from sweating just while you're laying in the bed most of the staff was very helpful and friendly the first night we reported all of this no one never addressed any of the problems I also spent 45 minutes on the phone calling the front desk which in turn there was two people working the front desk cuz my wife walked down there while I was on the phone after 45 minutes of them not picking up. I did confront the manager as I checked out and told her this would be my review the only explanation she had to offer me was they were short-handed as everybody else is in the world cuz no one will come back to work I understand that but you shouldn't charge a five-star price and get a two-star service I've had to star hotels that are comforting me better than them. Read moreMy wife and I have eaten here a lot but recently food and service has gotten bad. We went last night, our appetizer took forever to come but it finally arrived (pretzels with cheese dip). The salad came but the lettuce was wilted and other items didn't seem fresh. Then my food came but my wife's didn't. Mine was not good at all. We asked about my wife's food and were told, "Somehow the order didn't go in to the kitchen when everything else did. It'll be about 10 minutes ". Fifteen minutes later we asked about it again and were told, "It is about to come out". When the bill came 10 minutes later my wife said something again and we were told, "It's about ready" (this was a sirloin medium rare with broccoli). Mt wife told him ro make it to go and asked about a discount because of everything. Fifteen minutes later the check finally came and her food was brought... We were given a $10.00 (after taxes was less than $5.00) discount with no apology, no manager ever came and even acknowledged anything, nothing... When we got home my wife found out her food WAS NOTHING like it was supposed to be (guess we shouldn't have been surprised). This was our last trip ro this Applebee's & we both work at hotels so you can be sure every guest that asks for recommendations on where to eat will be warned to stay FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!!
Added: So I received a message that Applebee's was sorry this occurred and that someone would contact me. I received an email asking how this could be resolved which I replied to... That's it, no answer, no reply, not a single thing... I am guessing I know now why no managers ever addressed this at the restaurant...
