Jamie's Waffle Express — Restaurant in Prescott Valley

My wife and I used to love going to breakfast at Waffle Express. The food used to be off the charts, but the owner has apparently gone on the cheap. First she changed the link sausage to some really crappie sausage. Then for some reason the cook started putting the bacon on the cheese, on your eggs, now you've got cheese all over your bacon. We hadn't gone in a while but thought we'd give them another try. Unfortunately we weren't able to sit in our favorite servers area. Ramone is the absolute best and has always gotten our order correct and treats us wonderfully. Monday February 10th my wife and I went to breakfast for the last time. The girl server, not Ramones sister, was one of the worst servers ever. I specifically asked her for extra BUTTER, instead she brings me packs of some disgusting spread. I also asked for boysenberry syrup, she brought me maple. I had to flag down Ramone to get what I asked for. The food was cold and I ended up not being able to eat it. We asked for muffins to go, because they used to be good. First off we asked for a cinnamon one and a strawberry cream one, we got blueberry. Second off Jaimie, the muffins are considerably smaller, cost more and are extremely dry. We would have sent everything back, but we had an appointment to get to. We're never going back, since it went downhill. It's a real shame, Jaimie, Waffle Express used to be our favorite place...

Been coming here most my life same with my wife normally it’d be a 5star reviews. Or our bill typically doesn’t go over $40 with them our bill this time was over $60 which is more then we sped at any restaurant for us and that’s even with current inflation.. we noticed they charged us. $3 for chocolate chips on my sons bear pancakes the waiter argued with us till I showed him it’s only .75 more on the menu for kids that we ordered off of,he then played it off with oh I thought you ordered off the adult menu … you find me bear pancakes on the adult menu that’s $3 for 5 chocolate chips .. he went to correct it while I was pulling money out of the atm he hands me the bill back and it’s even more he said he forgot to charge us for the biscuits in gravy ,you know the small one included in the meal already, and charged us another $7 for that I said ok guess your not getting a tip today. We won’t be back after this. We known the waiter for years he’s always served us this is the first time he’s ever argued with us over anything..but food ls great don’t get me wrong but it’s not $60+ for omelette meal , bear cakes, corn beef...

Gluten free french toast was the reason we picked this spot, and I'm glad we did. After a few days camping, we decided to pack up camp and treat ourselves to brunch instead. We had the best server ever (Emma), that exchanged witty and joking remarks that really made us feel like we had been friends forever. We had the gluten free french toast special with two eggs and bacon cooked soft, half side of country potatoes, country fried steak and eggs(the special that day) with hash browns and even a biscuit and gravy as the side which is a great deal. Everything was hot and delicious this last Sunday 8/15, and we rarely get away with breakfast under 30 for the two of us foodies. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CHECK, but we noticed this while researching reviews and there is a sign on the door, plus our awesome waitress mentioned it before we ordered. So all of the people who act like they are surprised or mad, just do better, u can do it. It's 2021, look up reviews and Google things first🤷‍♂️. All in all, we'll be back if we're ever in the area for breakfast again. Thank you Emma for everything and keep that awesome...
