Are you burned out on the same old sandwich place, looking for a sandwich with lots of flavor? Well look no further then Scout's Gourmet Grub. You have come to the right place where your taste buds will explode with every bite of a delicious sandwich. We discovered this little gem of a place after our hiking group was done hiking in the area. It's a small place with the decor that will remind you of your past national park adventures. I happen to order the Golden Gate Chicken, (grilled chicken breast crisp bacon, tomatoes, pesto mayo, lettuce, sprinkled with roasted sunflower nuts). I ordered this on a toasted hoagie roll. It was the best sandwich I have ever had. The flavor just pop's in your moth and you want to savor every bit. When ordering you will have a choice of potato chips, or potato salad. Don't pass up the fantastic potato salad, it is one of the best that I have come across. The only problem is I wish it was a little bit more generous in proportion, it is that good. I would highly recommend putting this shop on your bucket list to visit. The staff was very friendly, the place was very clean, i can't wait to go again. My only problem what sandwich to choose from next, or do i order the same one?

I always wait till I have been to a place at least 3 times before giving my review because you never know who is in the kitchen, what the vibe is and customers. I have been to Scout's 4 times and every time my wife and I have been there it has been perfect, and best of all consistently great food and service. There are 2 girls that work there I wish I knew the blondes name but, no matter they were both polite and friendly. We love the camping atmosphere, and clean eating areas. The service is always great, with a smile and conversation when not busy (I hate being a blabber mouth when customer are behind me). My wife and I have tried a few sandwiches but, I am a Grand Teton fan, best Pastrami sandwich in the Tri area. It comes with provolone cheese but, I prefer old school mustard and pickles on a roll but, I have also had it with what it normally comes on which is rye bread. Add or delete they are cool with it. Hands down this is one of the best places to grab a bite and enjoy the vibe. Oh and my having a Belgian Malinois by the name of Scout has nothing to do with my liking the place. Just one of those nice coincidences in life.

I’m not kidding when I say I have been trying to eat here for over a week, but between the closing time, and the random closing during normal business hours, I haven’t been able to. It’s a shame because the food is good. The owners probably have a lot invested into it and don’t realize that it takes actually being open to earn money. Hopefully it doesn’t end up like all the other local eats, closed for good. People like sandwiches after 4PM FYI, and the weekends are going to be your best days. This restaurant sitting closed more then it’s open is the reason you can’t afford to hire more staff.

Five of us went here Saturday January 18th around 12:30. There were only a few people in the restaurant and a to-go order was being prepared. We waited patiently to place our order. My sister went 1st. Her sandwich was supposed to be on a hoagie, but they had no hoagies... ummm, you are a sandwich shop! Have someone run to Safeway and buy some! Then my sister asked if it was OK to put some tables together so there would be room for 5 of us. She was going to move the tables herself. The guy who was working came and threw the tables around. Another customer that was there came and helped us straighten out the chairs and tables. The worker went out to deliver a pick up order. When he came back in a table asked for mustard, he walked into the kitchen area and said "Go to the store and buy you are own f'in mustard. " So my sister who wasn't able to get a hoagie had her sandwich on sourdough. Her bread wasn't toasted and at that point there was no way she was going to ask to have her bread toasted. We felt like he would've spat in her sandwich. The rest of us enjoyed our sandwiches, but with this employees piss poor attitude, I don't think I will ever go here again. Food is too expensive to have this kind...
