I wanted to edit this review to discuss the way the business handled this situation. They immediately refunded me my money and called me to apologize for what happened. I think what happened definitely was frustrating but a business that handles situations in this way definitely deserve a second chance. Thank you!
Sadly, very unsatisfied with my experience. I placed my order two days before and spoke to a women who was extremely nice and helpful and confirmed my order. I chose to get a crepe cake with peanut butter, Hazelnut mousse, bananas, and strawberries. When I went in to pick up the cake the lights were off and no one was at the front to help me. I walked by the employees only door and asked for help multiple times. Finally a women came out and told me they didn’t have my cake. While they continued to look the manager walked in and told me they had no order form from me and that the place was closed. I was beyond confused since they already took the money out of my account and on the order form I stated I would pick up on that date at 4 and no one informed me it would be closed. Finally, they found the cake and later on when I served it for the birthday party it was tasteless. They put a nice amount of chocolate on the very top of the cake and star berries and bananas in the layers but I did not see or taste any peanut butter and the hazelnut mousse was barely there. It was a complete waste of money -...
Read moreWe are local Princetonians and just visited the new Jammin' Crepes for the first time. They started in the farmer's market by the library and we were always impressed. But their restaurant is just stellar. It seems every detail has been thought of from the decor to the creative menu.
We had the "Ham and Cheese Melty," a special "Green Eggs & Ham," and the "Beet and Goat cheese salad." Finally, we ended with the "Nut-Cho-Tella." Each item was, not just good, but exceptional. It was one of those deeply satisfying - don't-want-to-rush-it kinda meals. We had a mix of regular and gluten free crepes and we found the gluten free to be just as good.
I have found this kind of experience very rare. This is why I had to write a review.
As far as value, most crepe are under $9.00 but you get a large serving with very fresh ingredients. Gluten free was a dollar more. The locally sourced jams was also a nice touch, they have a map showing you where they come from.
The staff was also great and surprisingly attentive for it being such a busy time.
One criticism, we like strong espresso drinks and I would not go here just for the coffee.
Go, you...
Read moreCame here with my girlfriend during a weekend trip on a sunday. There was outdoor seating. You order inside and someone will bring the food out for you. Only one group inside at a time to order.
From what I tried the crepes are well nothing special from what I tried. The crepe itself will was well cooked and very buttery. The savory crepe I had (Everything is better with bacon and jam) was certainly filling. It had a good tart flavor with the jam but it was a bit overpowering and masked much of the smokey bacon flavor as well as the brie cheese. The lemon and lavender crepe was kind of more disappointing. The lemon spread wasn't spread out evenly. It did have a nice tart taste but there was very little lavender flavor or scent in the crepe. Now perhaps it was the weekend or an off day but while my experience wasn't terrible it wasn't exactly memorable either. So for the cost I am unsure if I would return other than to give it...
