Mother's day, there were 2 of us, my girlfriend is a mom,1st time there. There were several others waiting and was told that it would be just a few minutes because several tables were leaving soon. After 5 minutes a 4 chair table (4 top's they're called) left, but a single guy who came in after us got the table, 2 others joined him later. Another 4 top left, a guy and 2 boys who came in after us went and sat down without asking the waitress, and ordered. They were husband and sons of their/our waitress. We we finally given a 4 top table at least after a 20+ minutes wait. We ordered, then I asked to talk to manager. I was told the owner, a lady, was there. After 15 minutes I reminded waitress about me still waiting to talk to the owner, but I was told she was busy. Owner or manager should never be too busy to talk to a guest. I just retired after serving in hospitality management since 1967. My last place was here in Central Oregon, a top 10 rated business in USA!!!, so I know a few things about customer service. It was clear that the owner was clearly avoiding me, most likely due to knowing how they mishandled things. That family of the the waitress finally moved to the bar, so others could sit. I got up to leave, after my girlfriend finally got tired on waiting to talk to manager, so I asked a guy, the only guy staff member if he was part of management, he said yes. I told him this whole story. He said he was sorry for ruining our day, and used the f word. He said we couldn't be seated at those other tables because they were 4 tops. I told him that we we're seated at a 4 top, so why couldn't we get seated at those other 4 tops earlier. He said I was beating a dead horse. Mistake, 1, Don't let staff members family have priority over others. 2, Seat 2 guests at a 4 top, especially if they have/are waiting patiently. 3, If asked to talk to management, do so asap, don't avoid guests, which will just make things worse. 4, Don't use f word in trying to explain how things went. 5, Don't tell me that I'm beating a dead horse. They need to learn and use parts of the LEARN concept. Listen, Emapathize, Apologize, and hopefully some other guests won't have to go through this horrific, unexcusable, unprofessional experience, especially on a mothers day. Needless to say, we won't be back and I will not be shy about telling anyone how we were mistreated in so many ways. Prineville is a small town and I have lived in Crook...
Read moreWe stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. The place wasnât busy. We sat down at a table and was greeted by a young girl about 9 years old. I was impressed that it was a mom and pop operation. A few minutes later our server whom I assumed to be an older daughter took our order.
Time passed and we noticed that people were getting their orders that had came in at least 30 minutes after us. More time passed and I flagged down our server. When will our order be done???
Should be up after another couple of orders was the indifferent reply.
We got up and left as we had been sitting for next to an hour.
I normally donât leave a review like this unless our experience is noteworthy or bad. In this...
Read moreI brought my daughter here for breakfast in between soccer games today. Came in, stood there for a moment, and then asked the server if we seat ourselves and he says, "yes". There were several empty tables, as they were not super busy. A few people came in after us and were greeted, sat down, given menus, given drinks, and orders taken. All the while we were being completely ignored, not even given a menu to look at. The wait staff even came around to ask the tables how everything was etc. After being ignored for about 30 minutes we just walked out. Apparently, my money is no good to this establishment. Not impressed with the new owners and I will never come back, in addition to telling others to...
