If I were writing this review based on their wing's alone they would definitely get 5 stars for sure but the rating is based on service and food overall.
I will say, my favorite garlic fries come from Bend Burger Company but Dillon's are a close 2nd for sure. They have really good burgers but the Mushroom Swiss is probably my favorite. In the past, I've gotten their flat iron steaks but it had been hit and miss so I recently tried their seafood combination plate and I would definitely order it again. Even when the steak was a miss, it was still not that bad. I think a lot had to do with the meat quality itself at the time and lack of seasoning. It was cooked how I requested and I think they've only gotten it wrong once. Our server took it back and the next one was right on point. I have not tried the ribs personally but my husband did and seemed to really like them.
Now let's talk about those wings!!! You have a choice between buffalo, bbq, tai chili, garlic parm or teriyaki. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. The teriyaki and garlic parm are my favorite. The garlic parm is a dry rub. When I looked up their menu just now to make sure I didn't miss any of the flavors, I noticed the garlic parm is not on the online menu now but then again neither is the kids menu that I know they have. I'm only seeing a honey garlic which I don't believe I've tried. Beyond the flavor, what makes these amazing is how crispy they are. Definitely the best wings in town, hands down!
In regard's to service, you generally don't have a long wait for your food, even when they have a packed house. We've had a few misses on the service in the past but overall mostly positive and there is one server that has been amazing every time. I wish I could remember her name but if her manager read's this, she used to to work at the Panda.
Their prices are reasonable and it's a good place to bring the family. They have an enclosed outdoor seating area as well which is a nice option. There are a decent amount of menu options to choose from. Some items on the menu warrant a 3 star and some a 5 star but what is not so good to some may be amazing for someone else. I do believe they are worth trying for people traveling through or are new to town. We will continue to be...
Read moreWise foodies will avoid at all costs. 0 stars was truly deserved. I had a mushroom swiss burger. Normally, a greasy burger isn't offensive to me, but this was a whole other level. The ENTIRE bun was COMPLETELY saturated and dripping of grease. I wanted to take a picture of it, but it was too fragile to position. I did eat part of it, but I am sure I will regret it later (I did). The staff was friendly (Haily in particular), but our actual server was rather slow and not very attentive. In her defense, they were a little busy. Overall, it is underwhelming. I hear they used to be MUCH better. The second visit was worse than the first. The server was incapable of remembering anything and completely preoccupied. They were not busy, yet she failed to come back to the table hardly at all. When the food did arrive, 50 minutes later, it was cold, incorrect, undercooked, and not at all as ordered. It is clear that staff is far more interested in visiting with friends than actually doing their job effectively. Most staff stood around visiting at the bar and were not at all interested in working. Tables were dirty, and wait times were excessively long. This was evident by the look of disgust on many patrons' faces. I watched several leave unhappy and dissatisfied. Some even gave up and just left. There is something to be said for being a local hangout. But if all you are concerned about is being social, I would not expect your "success" to get you very far. Trending downward fast.......I love to promote great local food and businesses. This is neither. Even with a $25 coupon from my first awful visit, I will pass and not...
Read moreFood is always good- literally have never had a bad meal. However, service has been seriously lacking as of late, especially for carry-out. I'm writing this review after our 3rd long wait (2 of which were literally one carry-out salad!!).
We placed an order and were told 25 minutes, which we generally would think about 30 for what we ordered. Got there, paid and felt like we were shoo'ed out while we were waiting. While waiting outside, we saw people go in and place orders and receive their food while we were well over the 25 minutes they quoted us. At 50 minutes after our order was placed, my fiancĂŠ went in to check and see if maybe our order had been forgotten, and he was told they were still working on it and they would bring it outside. An hour after our order was placed they brought it out and when we kindly expressed our disappointment that we were told 25 minutes, we were met with "we got slammed inside and had 26 people be sat and order". We asked if they do things differently there and not put orders in chronologically from when they're taken and she told us yes, that we should come in to receive our food more quickly than the hour we waited. We were hoping that they would try to make it right but the girl just apologized and said they didn't intend for that, and when we told her we wouldn't be back we were met with an "I'm sorry". We've been loyal customers here for the 15 months we've lived in Prineville, tip-well and always make sure to bring any guests in. We've decided we would rather make the drive in to Redmond when we...
