Our experience here has been phenomenal! We’ve been here a couple times now and each time we tried something different. The food is so good and you do get quite a bit of food. People have complained about the price, but let’s be honest, where else are you going to get quality Korean food around Prosper/Celina?! Sure, if you want to drive all the way to Frisco but you’re spending the same amount on gas! The owners are super sweet. They’re a married couple and they’re super friendly and accommodating every time! The restaurant is small but super cute and cozy but most importantly, it’s spotless and so clean! We’ve had the bulgogi, spicy chicken, fried dumplings, japchae and their matcha boba tea. All fantastic! I hope they stick around for the long haul because it’s so hard to find great quality Korean food...
Read moreI haven't ever been the biggest Korean food fan, and our family usually goes to other Asian cuisines like Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese, but we were so excited to try Goyaki out as it's five minutes from home. While the food was flavorful, the quality didn't quite match up. The galbi, for instance, had good seasoning but was overly chewy. And when it came to value, I expected more. I ordered the bibimbap, and as you can see from the photo, it had hardly any meat and was missing several traditional ingredients. Most surprising of all--there was no kimchi included. When we asked about it, we were told it had to be purchased separately, which is disappointing given that kimchi is typically a staple of the dish.
I really wanted to love this place, but the food lacked authenticity, and the overall value just...
