Tapan Wok Fusion Asian & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Prosper

I don’t mind if it’s gonna be a long wait to get food on Christmas. But don’t tell me it’s a half hour, if it’s gonna be two hours+. We ordered before 7 and it’s 845 now. We thought maybe the problem was with Uber eats not having drivers to pick up, so we switched from delivery to pick up and drove to the restaurant at 8 after our our delivery estimate has been bumped 3 times.

When we arrived they weren't able to give us a time estimate beyond "maybe a half hour", because they hadn't even printed our ticket yet.

We'd been waiting for 45 minutes in the restaurant when I went to the counter again to try and get an update. They said it’ll still be more than a half hour more, and had our order time on the receipt listed as more than an hour later than our order was actually placed. Eeeeeek. That was a bad sign and the kids were home waiting, so this was no longer a viable option. Such a big waste of time.

Uber eats let us cancel with no fee so we canceled and went home. What a bummer of a first time experience. Had they given any honest indication of the time it would have taken we wouldn't have ordered, or would have canceled right when we got to the restaurant.

I’m not sure if we’ll ever even try to patron this place again cause it’s such a sour taste in the mouth. They need a better way to communicate effectively if they’re going to use third-party delivery for pick up orders, etc…

There was a gentleman there who was a regular who we got to talking with a bit (and who had ordered the Christmas prior as well), and he indicated the experience this year was much worse...

First time customer - got the veggie spring roll, which was actually more an egg roll than a Thai spring roll but still very tasty and freshly made. I also ate freshly prepared spicy white tuna and salmon cut roll. Total was a little over $12. All was very good. Just enough ginger for every piece of sushi. This is good stop. Looking forward to trying much more on their menu. The online web order site is pretty bad and amateur. I couldn’t tell what anything was going to have and I think the prices were higher. I recommend showing up in person for your first order so you can use their printed takeout menus. Much better info and prices. Maybe the website takes cut of the prices? Or maybe due to lack of descriptions I didn’t understand what web site item is vs the printed...

This place was beyond disappointing and staff is extremely rude. The service was really bad and food disgusting. They gave my a plate of fried chicken with nothing else. When I politely told them I was unsatisfied with my food she got extremely defensive and told this is how it's made! She kept saying, "Can't you read? It doesn't say vegetables on here!" I've never been to a place where they question your reading level?!? I don't believe this is how you treat you paying customers. I did not eat my food, paid and left. I'm not going to argue with A MANAGER that isn't going to offer solutions. Spend your money elsewhere. This place is overpriced and service is awful. If I could leave them no...
