Bolt Coffee — Restaurant in Providence

More than a coffee shop, this is a coffee statiom located at the entrance of the RISD museum. It was very crowded for around 2:30pm on a sunday afternoon. They have all the regular variations of hot and iced coffees in addition to a few specials which I assume they switch based on seasons/occasions. I had the expresso with steamed milk and honey special - the name of which I for the life of me cannot recall - iced. It was pretty solid in terms of smooth flavor, not overbearing on the honey, smooth yet with the distinct taste of coffee that's lost in a sugary concoction like a frappuccino. The only drawback of this space is that its hard to find a seat. It was completely packed and if you want your coffee to stay, be prepared to stand. Being busy drinks take a while to get made too - waited about 12-15 minutes for mine. Worth a visit but I'd probably check out their other...

a bit more expensive than competitors, but they have a "free large filter coffee with purchase of beans" deal (i can't find this advertised anywhere? but they gave it to me as of october 2021)

the drip was great; super jammy. i forgot to ask what beans were used,, but i assume it was the mass appeal.

i'd still give the edge to anything with dave's espresso (but imo it's just a flavor profile preference thing, NOT a quality thing; the cherry bg is just chef's kiss for me), but this drip was not far behind, and the location is way more convenient for me (i basically live in the brown library lol). so (provided the beans are good) i'll definitely be coming here instead, as long as that promo is offered. otherwise they're just a bit too expensive imo, and i'm a poor...

Went to get some coffee after I walked through the museum. The person ringing me out was very polite to me and we made a bit of small talk as I used my card to pay.
