Kennedy Plaza — Local services in Providence

After checking online, I took a bus to Providence only to realize that Citizens bank was closed on Saturdays. That wasn't the information gathered but made the best of a unexpected situation. Kennedy Plaza is a beautiful place travelers and locals like to relax at places like Burnside Park & enjoy the free entertainment and local restaurants. Unfortunately businesses surrounding Kennedy Plaza don't want R.I.P.T.A.'S Transit hub located in Central downtown Providence. People of influence with exorbitant amounts of money are trying extremely hard to have R.I.P.T.A.'s Providence hub moved due to the unwanted presence of people enjoying themselves. This has created a divide between state services and big business. Did anyone stop & think about what the citizens would prefer, I think not because many people are circulating petitions to help keep R.I.P.T.A. and thier services right where they are for the enormous amounts of people that utilize them. I don't understand why or whom plans on paying for such a relocation of Rhode Islands public transportation system & location when the one operating has already been revamped constantly over the past several years. This Plaza Is In Need For A Major "Upgrade"! It's Basically A Public Plaza With Bus Stops That Connect All City Buses with Alphabetically Labeled Stop's from A-Z depending On Which City Or Numbered Bus Route You Choose to Use to Get Wherever You're Going to or from. It's Got A Small Bus Station with Ticketing Info. kiosks & Bus Schedules & Restrooms as well. It's Seedy, Often Crowded & Chaotic On a Daily Basis with The Usual "Creeps" & Crazy local Unsavory Downtown Providence Characters, Homeless Bum's, Beggar's, low-lifes & Troublemakers Typically Found In Most Public Urban Area's of Most Cities Big, Medium Or Small. But Even With The "Somewhat-Lacking" Police Presence, You Still FeeL "Uneasy" & So Just Be Alert, Aware of You're Surrounding's 24/7, Because You Must "Expect The Unexpected" While You're There. It's Definitely"NOT" a Place to "Hangout" for too Long Before Trouble Find's You Or You Find "Trouble", So Be Careful Out There! I think the plaza itself is really interesting! There’s always something going on, whether it’s food trucks, art pop ups, or volunteer stations and drives. The plaza is kept decently clean for the amount of people that go through there, and there’s always a police car stationed to assist if anyone needs anything. Which I appreciate much more than other plazas I’ve seen where police patrol and harass people on the street.
