Every now and again a new joint opens up in an old venue that changes the game. And the landscape. And sets the bar that much higher. It doesn't happen too often. Maybe once in a great while. Maybe not even that often. Enter Sports And Leisure. Mic drop. Out of the park. Where some pretty cool, extremely busy and otherwise dated dance halls once stood (since the 50's mind you) now is possibly the hippest bar and lounge that I have ever been in. Certainly in the top 10. Honestly, top 5. Maybe even top 3. The front door, the bar, the bathrooms, even the kitchen are in the same place yet it was like walking into a bar in OZ. Game changer. Comfy couches in front of a fireplace topped with a giant Elk head (pretty sure I saw a few dollars stuck to the elk's forehead), giant tv screens mounted behind the bar in between cool bookshelves filled with retro widgets and awesome gadgets just goody enough to make anyone smile! Classic sports pics on the walls, Mohammed Ali in the men's room just was icing the cake. Sorry ladies I didn't visit the girls room. Well appointed walls and cozy hardwoods.ounge tables, fancy booths and a DJ stage to boot. If that doesn't have you hopping the bar is WELL STOCKED with bourbons and whiskeys and tequila and Polish Vodka! Otherwise joy! Plenty of fancy cocktails and solid draft beers, wine and bubbly. It's pretty amazing actually. The menu is just right Hardy pub fair, finger appetisers a few entree specials nothing too pretentious. Everything house made. Everything fresh. I have to say, absolutely perfect salt and pepper fries btw. The prices don't kill you either. Parking in the street and out back. They book parties. Honestly this would be an amazing place for holiday parties. You will feel equally comfortable in a suit and tie (or little black dress and stilettos) as you will in jeans and sneakers. After theater, after work, girls night out, guys and the game; Hell all of the above!!! I'm headed there...

I am a regular at S&L. I recently had my sister’s surprise birthday party here. It was PERFECT!! Ethan was absolutely amazing. He is perfection behind the bar. But he also runs around making sure all patrons are happy and taken care of. He strives to give his customers an amazing experience. S&L is lucky to have someone like Ethan. He is one of the reasons I continue to come back!! He takes the time to get to know the customers and never forgets a name or what you are drinking. Thank you Ethan, for making the party a success. You truly are amazing!!

I also wanted to give a shout out to Kenny. The food is always incredible!! He truly is an amazing talent in the kitchen! Everyone at the party raved about the food. Kenny, you are AMAZING!!! Thank you for making the party...

Waited in line for an hour only to be told I couldn’t go in as a sober designated driver. Door man said it would be a $50 bar tab minimum. I explained I don’t drink I’m just the dd. He said “I’m not making any money off you, I’m not letting you in”. I’ve been a weekly customer at snl and it’s never been an issue. Most of the staff is personable and welcoming. The bartender always has my Diet Coke ready before I can even order. I’ve never been turned away from a bar because I’m the groups DD, disappointing from a place I’ve given so much...
