Caliente Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Providence

‘Twas a dreary Wednesday night. I felt completely defeated. Nothing had gone as planned. In my despair, I began to realize that I was hungry. I was in need of NOURISHMENT. I wanted Mexican food but I had already had Baja’s that week and Chipotle is jUST TOO EXPENSIVE. Suddenly, as I scrolled through the options on Uber eats, I saw “Caliente Mexican Grille” wedged between Chipotle and Baja’s. This was a restaurant I had overlooked until THAT NIGHT. I decided to give it a try. I ordered the birria tacos and a fajita quesadilla. The beef was flavorful and abundant in juices. The taste left me wanting more but my tummy was satisfied with just the three tacos. I then decided to partake in my quesadilla which was also EXQUISITE. This is my new go to restaurant to order from. I love love love it! It saved my life ❤️ and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you Caliente Mexican Grille. You have restored my life force. I will never order from this place again. I ordered a Nachos Caliente on November 22, 2019 from Thayer Street location. It arrived with nothing but loads of nachos, some ground beef and cheese. No Jalapenos, no Pico, etc., not the ingredients as advertised. It was tasteless to boot. Not only that but it is listed as $7.99 and I was charged $8.99. I emailed a complaint regarding the food and got a "sorry you were inconvenienced" from Omar Rodezno (who is he?), with no offer to recompense me or send a corrected order. That's all. Poor customer service, tasteless, bare nachos. Plenty of other Mexican food places with better service. This place won't get a penny...

This is just for this Thayer st location: We both got food poisoning from the quesabirria and rice and beans. Complete Gastrointestinal upset both up and down..... mind you, we normally go to the reservoir Ave location and order the same stuff and never had an issue there. I would avoid this Thayer st location, with the way we reacted, our food had to have been contaminated with something. the 2 stars for just the food was because initially upon consuming it tasted fine, not as fresh and well made as the Res. Ave location, but still edible. AVOID IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RISK...
