0 stars for service 10 stars for food. I ordered online, nowhere does it say that they no longer do delivery, in fact it says the opposite, says order online/delivery in big letters right on the front page. If they’d just updated their website I would’ve just used Grubhub and saved a lot of time, money, and frustration. So after placing the order for delivery it charged my card and then said PICK UP. So since they already charged my card (which they’re not supposed to do until the delivery/order is complete btw) I tried calling them to cancel the order so I could place it with Grubhub. NOBODY answers the phone. I call 20+ times over the course of an hour because I don’t have a car and to Uber there and back would cost $30…NOTHING. Not one employee can answer the phone apparently. So finally, always being out $60 for the food, I have no choice to take an Uber and waste another $30. I get there, explain this to them, and they don’t give a **. I asked for a refund, or at least a coupon towards another order-NOPE! Just a free drink, even though I was forced to spend $30 to get there all because NOBODY would answer the phone and they charged my card right away. And guess what? The place seems fully staffed, no reason why they can’t answer the phone. That all being said, I’m really torn because the food was AMAZING, some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had outside of real Chinatown. Normally with such abysmal service I’d leave zero stars and say never again but the food was honestly so good I might go back, NEVER placing an online order ever...
Read moreLocated in the "quick eats alleyway" near Brown University of Providence, this place is a gem. This was our first time here and Ray, the owner, is working the line like all of his employees. The man is a staple of the community and gives back in different ways. I'm not going to get into personal details, but let's just say that the man shows compassion for his fellow man and no matter how busy they are, he takes a little time to give an encouraging word. I was extremely touched. OK, enough of that, my issue, not yours. Before going there, we walked around and found several eateries that were either empty or had a few people in it. Then we came upon Chinatown on Thayer St. The line was out the door, but moving quickly. We ordered our meals, they were fresh, hot and tasty. The portions were huge and there was no way an average size person could finish it. I had gotten the battered shrimp and he says "you want sauce?" I said "no", he says "have you tried it?" and hands me a piece w/ sauce on a toothpick. "OK give me the sauce." On top of that, Ray throws in a couple of chicken wings onto your plate as well. The place is very clean, with street murals on the walls. It is the perfect place for the location. They will always get my business when I'm in town. Just don't eat all day so you can enjoy the portions. I love supporting small business and love seeing when that small business is giving back to the community. I love watching the little guy win and this place is a winner. You can't get more American than that. Thanks Ray...
Read moreLets start off by saying im so happy i found this place searching on google. It was like 1145 pm friday and i wanted chinese, no where was open near me. I saw this place and looked at the food images and i said im going🤗. When i arrived the line was insane!!! Like 30 people ahead of me, but here is the deal, the line moves fast as more people kept coming in, that told me the food is worth the wait. I was in and out i was pleased. As i got closer, i saw all the food and options, and all the food was hot and fresh and the cooks were filling it up constantly. Everything looked so delicious and boy it was. I ordered the fried rice with spare ribs and orange chicken, and for my husband veggie lo mein, spare ribs and general tsao chicken. The staff is very nice, kind and fast.
