It was a beautiful day last week and I felt so good with the excellent weather I decided to go shopping. I always call ahead for availability of the specific items I need before headoling over to ANY Urban anywhere. “Urban Outfitters Thayer Street Providence, how can I help you?” “Good afternoon, how are you?” “I’m good! How are you?” “Very well I’m calling to check to see if you have Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 color film?” “Let me check, one moment.” … “Yes we should have that available as well as the disposable cameras you mentioned.” ??? (Strike one). I intended to redeem a coupon upon visiting the store so I wanted to round up my haul with some records to meet the coupon limit. I go to checkout and told the clerk I called ahead about the Fujifilm and wow! They did NOT have any available like they said on the phone! Of course I called the correct location before my visit (Strike two). Upon this discovery I cancelled my sale and began to walk away when the cashier informed me “The Urban in Allston should have the film I just checked and it says it’s available.” ??? Read moreDO NOT SHOP ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!!! They shipped my order to the wrong address. I called them to inform them of it and they told me they would issue me a refund as a lost order. They told me I should receive a refund email within 24 hours. Three days later - i never received my email or refund. I called them again and they told me that they couldn't refund me because she stated that the order confirmation had the same address that it was delivered to and it was the customers fault. I asked to speak to a manager because my order confirmation clearly showed my correct address on both, the billing section and the shipping section. She said she couldn't see that on her end. I told her she should not be accusing customers of supplying them the wrong information if she can't see what it shows. I was willing to email her a copy of my order confirmation showing that I entered the correct email and she declined. She finally agreed to refund me as a one time courtesy - when it was their fault. I explained to her that this was the first and last time I will shop at their store anyway!!!! Poor...

I too work for the service industry and understand the frustration that comes when customers come in soon to close but I don’t believe that attitude should impact the rest of the experience.
