Thai food is one of my favorite foods in the world. I have eaten it in almost every major foodie city in S.E. Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia), Asia (Korea and Japan), every major city in U.S.A, Canada, and Europe, and I think this place may be the best in the world I have had. We had the ba mee, the rotisserie chicken with egg fried rice and garlic green beans (which are a must if you go there), the steamed thai dumplings, and fried spring rolls. I wanted to try Thai the angel wings because these were my favorite app at other Thai restaurants, but they were sold out at 4:30 pm. Everything we had was mind blowing. The sauce on the ba mee was full of flavor, the noodles cooked perfectly, and the roast pork was succulent. The steamed dumplings were huge, could be a meal in its own. The shrimp were cooked to perfection in the dumpling, they had the perfect bounce and not over cooked. The spring rolls which are usually a whatever option were crunchy and savory. The roast chicken had amazing sauce and was nice and juicy. This place makes me want to move to Providence, R.I. I am not even over exaggerating. My partner and I actually discussed it because of this meal. I cannot wait to return. If you don't try this place you may be missing out on the best Thai restaurant that...
Read moreThe food has a lot of potential, but was really sad about the customer service I received. We let the server know in advance that we wanted everything mild which she said was possible, but then applied this to one of the dishes she brought out but not the other.
Apparently she misunderstood and thought it was for only one dish- which is totally fair- we were okay to wait- but she then refused to remake it. We asked to speak to the manager who told us that he could not make a new dish but could try “recycle” this one to make it less spicy. We said that was fine, but then they brought back the dish and it wasn’t any less spicy, so basically one of us couldn’t even eat the food.
Also, the manager told us that we should have let our server know in advance, which we had done- so it felt like they were more focused on reprimanding us than helping us.
Lastly, they brought us the check immediately without checking in, even though several of our table wanted dessert. All in all just a really sad service experience for what was supposed to be a fun night out. Hopefully this can be taken constructively as I think the place has the potential to be a warm and...
Read moreRudest staff I’ve ever encountered in Providence to date. Never had Thai food, and this experience literally turned me away from Thai food as a whole for a while. Wish I had their names, but front-of-house staff were disrespectful, insanely aggressive and combative. Was picking up an order for a friend. Thanked them for the order, and walked out. Staff member RAN TO ME in my car because she didn’t believe the order was really for me??? Triple verified it with her and everything, she still rolled her eyes, and cussed at me under her breath as she walked away? All because she didn’t believe the order was really mine. I would absolutely never recommend stepping into this miserable establishment. They were immensely disorganized in there too. Dirty. Gross. Overall couldn’t say enough horrid things about the place and the people working there. This experience was a while back, and I hope this miserable staff member isn’t there anymore, but you’ll never catch me in here. WAY better Thai food in Providence with staff members that...
