When I was a '60s teen, it was the "thing" to drive your ride over to the "Freeze" to hang out in the parking lot with the gang. Is that still a thing? Because that's about all you can do at Andy's... Now I went there in the middle of a mild winter day, so perhaps it is not such a surprise I was alone at the outside order window. There was a drive-through a few benches and a covered area that might have picnic tables as temperatures improve (??). So what I am saying is I totally missed what the draw is for this modern soft-serve ice cream place is. I hope it has recreated the 50s/60s hangout for kids (and nostalgic oldsters). The building is new, and seems large for a place that only serves cold drinks and "treats" outdoors. The grounds were well kept and clean. You can get vanilla or chocolate frozen custard [aka soft-serve ice cream] done up dozens of ways. I had a specially shake, which the nice server was happy to customize. Creamy, sweet to the max, tasty enough but by no means the best $8 mocha shake I've had. It was too cool to sit on the metal bench overlookingthebusy street, so I enjoyed it in the...
Read moreWe LOVE ANDYS we visit every location we can and try different things always the product is amazing. But ... The customer service was poor we love to give our honest review everywhere we go we do online Google Review/Food critics. We specialize in customer service since these past few years everyone has gone through a lot in life and just a bit of niceness does go a long way we didn't experience this at this location they basically handed our milkshakes and didn't say thank you. Nothing it was a bit akward. I would love to see this new location strive and actually give the service that Andy's gives 5stars match your products attitude Amazing. For this visit we rated this specific location 3/5 due to the sad...
Read moreTerrible experience with Richard, a “manager” working the drive thru window last week. Before we even rolled up to the window, he looked miserable to be there and was glaring through our window. He had an extremely unpleasant attitude, aggressively rushed our order, and never said please or thank you throughout the transaction. He caught a very bad attitude with my wife who ordered 2 small concretes, prompting me to speak up for her. Rather than taking accountability as a manager, he decided it was ok to argue with me and use foul language.
I’ve visited this newer location upwards of 10 times now, and other surrounding Andy’s locations a handful of times and not once have we ever been treated so...
