Panera Bread — Restaurant in Proviso Township

More than once have I gone in to THIS location and had terrible experience from the same employee each time who needs a major attitude adjustment! Each time I had ordered a drink through my Panera app with my sip club membership and each time I was there waiting on it from when I put the order in until I got her attitude. She pushed my order to ready and never called my name and didn’t bother to ask me what I was waiting for.. I had to lean in over the pickup counter for her to acknowledge me. I told her “I was looking for my order, which was the new citrus punch, and my phone says it’s been ready for a few minutes, but I don’t see it and no one’s called me.” She says “We don’t have that drink.” with an attitude. I told her “Well I didn’t know that because no one called my name when they marked my order as Done, but everyone else has..” she then lied to me and says with attitude again “Well That order was done a long time ago before you got here!” I told her “I have been here since I put the order in waiting for the drink I ordered or at least for someone to tell me it’s not in stock.” She then asks with sass in her voice “So what do you want then a refund?!” I responded then disgusted with her attitude “I’d like a large cup to get a different drink then since that one isn’t available.” She tells me to “Just grab on of the cups on the counter then!” Unbelievable… Ive been a loyal customer for months and have never had any issues with any other Panera Bread location or employee. Only her! I hope her superiors see this review and read this story and know who I’m speaking of cuz I really wish I had got her name. NOT RECOMMENDED! Here's why:

I recently visited Panera Bread to get a bagel and coffee. There was no one at the counter and I had been waiting a few minutes to place my order. I finally peeked behind the counter and I asked for service. A woman came over and said, and I quote, "We're busy!!" This is not the first time that the employees were rude. Prior to this visit, I had frequented this Panera Bread establishment and other issues were apparent. The coffee counter is poorly maintained. Creamer splatter everywhere, sugar crystals covered the counter. At times, customers would ask employees that the coffee drums were empty. And an employee would begrudgingly change the coffee drum. On another occasion, a customer purchased a cold drink. He looked for a lid and there were no lids. When he asked an employee for a lid, the employee replied, We ran out. The customer retorted, I guess I'll have to be careful not to spill my drink.

This place is extremely mismanaged. I will never return to this establishment and I will warn everyone not to waste their hard-earned money here. I definitively do NOT recommend you visit this location. Also, the food has also suffered. It is subpar.

I really hate bad reviews and usually don't waste my time on them unless they're bad. The cashier was rude. She honestly did toss my husbands brownie onto the counter at him. While we were eating she began to help a customer. Then in the middle of the customer ordering she walks away to hush a group of teen girls. Mind you she already walked passed them TWICE to refill drinks and didn't say anything to them. They weren't even a bother.

I literally order the same sandwich every time. I get the sandwich because I know it tastes great, and I know what is like. This time it was the most stale bread I've ever eaten. This bread in particular is soft and it was crunchy. I ate it of course because I was starving and didn't want to wait again. The side bread that I asked for was also stale. I think this locations manager just doesn't care anymore and is ready to exit the company. They're giving off "last day at work" vibes.

My last complaint is that this location of ANY food establishment I've ever been to in my 30+yrs of life, was the dirtiest. The drink station was filled with stains, ruined straws, tops were everywhere. A few tables weren't cleaned of the plates still on them, napkins and condiment packages on the floor, tables without plates on them had crumbs everywhere.
