As a young boy, I used to ride my Stingray down to the Village Market so that I could go to the A & P Grocery Store and look through their book racks. It was there that I found my first book concerning Eastern religion, martial arts, and Zen: Jay Gluck's "Zen Combat". I was 12 years old at the time and was studying Judo just a few blocks away at the West Suburban YMCA under the guidance of Dr. Evan Baltazzi, so finding that book was instrumental for me and my Path.....and it's all because of this fantastic shopping center that has been remodeled over the years and is still right where I last remember it. Perhaps some other young kids will find inspiration for their path in life here as well....

Wish there were more restaurants here and it's sad that the video store closed down. Dollar Tree seems a bit out of place in this area but I suppose it's better than nothing.
