I’ve always gone to the original Mr Beefs close to Irving park. But this is closer where I live. At this location the food is a hit or miss. But what they need to do is get an ENTIRELY new staff. I don’t know how they have these people working with no people qualities, and rude.. I ordered 2 large pizzas eat in, they don’t provide you plates. We had more than half left over. My husband had asked for a pizza box to go and the guy that was there was looking at him and told him , that there was no pizza box. He gave him two lousy pieces of foil to cover up almost an entire pizza to go. And shortly after he walks out with two pizza boxes I’m assuming for a delivery. My husband asked again. I thought there was no boxes and with an attitude he responded. Yeah no boxes. Very snarky. I don’t know if this is the management and this is how they work and I ordered also two order of french fries one of them was completely full and the other one was half. Very poor poor quality and service. I miss the old Mr Beefs and I’m talking about back in the early 2000s. New owner /...
Read moreWe moved to Berwyn 3yrs ago after living in Bridgeport for over 30 yrs. We are long time customers of Mr. Beef on Orleans. I myself have always liked Me. Beef. My wife prefers Chickie's. Since we moved out here we we're looking for a good beef sandwich. Scatchells isn't as good as they use to be. That was my father-in-law's fav. So we've been to Johnny's on North Ave and their beef is still good. I found a Chickie's out in Hillside. I never cared for Chickie's and Al's on Taylor is too pricey for their small beef sandwich not bad but too small. So we've been to Chickie's a few times. The beef is ok. Everytime we've went I always order something different. Well today we took a drive out there and we got 4 beefs for Us and the kids. They had theirs dipped and I did not. We ordered in the drive thru to go. The beef was hard and dry. The fries weren't fresh and over cooked. I'm sure Mr. Beef still has some of the best sandwiches in town. I didn't realize until we got back that you guys opened on Harlem. I will definitely be coming by to visit and order. See...
Read moreTheir food is good, and we’d been ordering from them almost every week for the last year. But this week we put in a delivery order through their website, and it arrived very late, and stone cold.
These things happen, especially with current supply chain and labor shortage issues. But when we called, we were told that it was an ironclad policy not to give refunds.
It was clear the person I was talking to didn’t have the authority to make an exception. But she also said couldn’t give me the name or contact information for someone who did.
So I put in a message through their website. And got no response.
Mistakes happen. So do delays. Nothing is perfect. But customer loyalty depends on how a business responds when it happens. So I was disappointed to learn that the response to cold food delivered late was, in effect, caveat emptor. Which to me says they’re just as happy if we explore other dining options...
