Our big family of 18 came here to go bowling. We were so annoyed at our experience we had here. We always get 3 lanes for our family. My father in law told the guy helping us that we wanted to play only 1 game. So he charged 2 of the lanes for 1 game. On our 3rd lane, he did it by the hour. We had no clue until the end. There is a lot of us including kids so it takes us longer to bowl. Also, our balls would get stuck here and there and we would have to go tell them which took time. They never added time on to our hour for that. I was on the lane that was by the hour along with 5 others. It stopped our game and we had 2 frames left. The other 2 lanes in our group were still bowling. My father in law went up and told them that the game stopped on one of our lanes and the guy said it was by the hour and our hour was up. My father in law said he paid for just 1 game. He didn’t pay for 1 hour. Why would he pay for 1 game on 2 lanes and 1 hour on 1 lane?? It was the employees screw up. It wasn’t busy at all, there were so many open lanes and they wouldn’t let us finish the last 2 frames when it was the employees fault. They didn’t give us what we paid for. Super annoying...
Read moreThe lanes are really bad for anyone other than a straight bowler. I’m not even that good of a bowler, but I took a few bowling classes and learned how to do a hook ball and a curve ball. It’s impossible to do a strong curve on the lanes in the wilk. Even when standing as far left of your normal starting position as possible.
The problem is the lanes aren’t oiled well. So the ball just heads right off the lane.
It is possible to do a hook ball...but only if you stand like 10 floorboards to the left of your normal starting position.
Fat cats’ lanes are oiled better. And UVU’s lanes are oiled really well...but they only have like six lanes. Place is tiny.
P.S. This is based off of more than one experience and trying multiple lanes. Also to show I’m not biased, 10 years ago the Wilk had better maintained lanes than fat cats did. But that...
Read moreMy little boys love to bowl, especially one of my four-year-olds (he's a twin). We've gone bowling here about 4 times this summer, and we were in the area so I stopped by again because they begged for it. My kids have special needs (autism) so once we have a plan, they can't easily be told something else. Anyway, it was near closing time on a weekday, and I got to the front desk and realized my credit card wasn't in my purse. I was by myself with my three kids and didn't know what to do. The people at the front counter were super understanding and given the extenuating circumstance allowed us to bowl anyway. My kids were a bit of a handful on top of it, but staff were very patient. Shout out of Kate and Tyler for being really awesome and accommodating. We'll be...
