Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in Provo

BAD customer service. Whoever works the night shift… needs to be fired… the kid was sitting in a chair, facing away from the front counter, and watching a football game on his phone… the second worker was trying to help people but kept getting distracted cuz the kid watching the game kept announcing details. My sister and I waited several seconds while they had a conversation about how So-and-So-Player was out and what in the world were they going to do about it. Now, I don’t know anything about football so I felt completely alienated, ignored, and unwelcome. Which was upsetting since chocolate factory has such notoriety. They need to watch football on their own time… Whoever their manager is needs to know that you are paying these kids to watch football and goof off. A swift firing is what they need so they can spend all their precious time glued to their phones...

I was looking for caramel apples, and since Kneaders (where I usually go) didn't have any at this time, I came to Rocky Mountain Chocolate. The location is accessible, even though I almost walked past it (luckily, I was looking at the doors). The business was clean, the girls on duty hardly talked---maybe they were tired? The caramel apple prices were on the expensive side, with the least expensive being $9.50 and prices going up to about $12 for fancier ones. I've personally never been a fan of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's chocolate but hoped one of the simpler apples would be good. Unfortunately, it was bland. I always get their caramel apples because they are the best I've ever had. I'm not someone who is big into sweets, but this place always seems to get me and hits just the right spot. They've got such a wide variety of treats and sweets and they're all extremely well made and very delicious! The employees are very kind and take the time to help you and guide you to what you're looking for. It's always fun to go into here with no idea as to what you want and just ask the employee for guidance and you'll discover something new and I've never been let down from doing it that way. Very well managed establishment and highly recommend Rocky Mountain Chocolate to anyone and everyone. You just can't go wrong...
