Unfortunately, their hours and their drive-thru service are limited. I feel like they could really invest in updating their customer interface when it comes to their drive-thru system. Specifically, I have walked up to doors fifteen minutes before closing time at around 4:45 pm only to be met with "sorry, we're closed". On more than one occasion, I've seen them close early as I work in a shop near by. I'd say get there by 4:30 pm if you want to order. Also, more than once I've waited in my car for several minutes before any one even noticed I was there because of the fact that there are No speakers on the drive-thru stations outside. An employee often has to stand outside, regardless of the weather, to take your order. On my first visit to the Heber location, I thought the drive-thru must have been broken because there was a long line of cars with an employee standing out in the lane with the cars. Overall, the younger employees have been cheerful but also unable to do much about the drive-thru systems and longer wait times. I understand waiting is longer in general due to the fresh preparation, which is why I've still come back honestly despite the frustration with their other systems. But the food is fairly simple so I'm still not sure why it takes as long as it does. I've had fruit cups with the fruit going bad and sometimes bagels that were harder than would've liked, but overall food is good. So perhaps if they want to become a boutique bagel shop, then maybe just don't offer drive-thru service at all because drive-thru comes with certain consumer expectations about speed of service and other delivery options. Finally, when it comes to the hours of operation, I believe people who work until 5 pm like myself, would enjoy the chance to grab a lighter snack or a coffee on their way home, say until 6 or 7 pm? There are a lot of places like Boba tea shops etc, that are open late now and get a lot of foot traffic in...
Read moreWe asked if they had vegan cream cheese and they said they didn’t because they only have 1-2 requests for it per year…I said that if it was on the menu they’d see many people order it and then he started arguing and being rude in front of all his employees and other customer/ saying that they wouldn’t and that vegan cream cheese is disgusting….I said that it’s 2025 and more and more people are going vegan and he said that he feels bad for them and then walked out after which I said that I don’t feel bad for them but for the calves and the planet….We were so embarrassed and shocked that he would be so rude to his customers. Even if he didn’t agree with us he should want to make his vegan customers happy. They do offer hummus and avocado which is awesome! But vegan cream cheese would be appreciated by those who are lactose intolerant and care about animals and the world. The bagels are pretzel like not typical bagels. We do not recommend this place…especially how we were treated…Won’t ever go back.
REPLY TO OWNERS RESPONSE: The owner’s response is not surprising. I absolutely did NOT berate his employees! Nor did I, or would I ever, interrupt someone when they speak. I was talking to them about how I had just returned from Manhattan where I had vegan bagels every day and hoped this place had some too since it is 2025 and there are MANY vegans that would like vegan cream cheese on their bagels. We were in shock at how he came out and started speaking to us the way he did. The fact that he would describe me the way he did in his public response (lie or not)...
Read moreWent to #BagelDen for the first time. I was hoping for a real #WaterBoiledBagel unfortunately the only ones available in Utah valley are at Costco. So once my husband and I moved beyond the disappointment we decided to try a couple of their sandwiches made with the steamed buns, fresh baked, with a hole in the middle (from hence forth I will refer to the bun as a “bagel” as that is what they call them, and I support calling them by their chosen name). I got the #Carnivore Breakfast Sandwich on a wonderful, toasted, #CheddarJalapeno “Bagel”. The sandwich comes with a fresh cracked Egg, Bacon, Ham, Sausage, and two Slices of Cheddar Cheese. Everything tasted great, there was a lot of meat and the Cheddar Jalapeño “Bagel” hosted the toppings very well. Overall, a very good breakfast sandwich. My husband got the #ChickenSalad Sandwich on a #Garlic “Bagel”. The sandwich included Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion. The Chicken salad was fresh, tasty, and flavorful the salad included raisins which gave it some nice sweetness. His sandwich also came with a #pickle spear and a bag of chips. My husband chose Hickory Barbecue chips from Boulder Canyon. The sandwich was excellent and the Garlic on the “bagel” was tasty. We also purchased a couple drinks. A nice hot #ChaiLatte. And a lovely Tropical #Smoothie with strong pineapple and coconut flavors. The food and drinks were well done, could taste the freshness and I appreciate the “sourcing as close to local as possible” ingredients. I also like to support local small businesses...
