Came to Nachos after many years of not being in Pueblo. TERRIBLE service! Definitely not the great place it used to once be. Our waitress, PENELOPE, started out as pleasant/friendly, but the minute we asked for an extra bowl of salsa, things changed. We had to stop her just to ask for refills, while she walked directly past us at least 20 times without even once acknowledging that our drinks were gone! She mopped and swept all around us, but didn’t check on us not even ONCE! If she invested as much time providing service as she did on those floors, the service would have been impeccable, plus she’d make BANK, win-win, que no? The only time she talked to us was after taking the initial order was to give us our check. She was great to surrounding tables, but not us. We didn’t come at her the wrong way or anything. We’re actually very pleasant people because we understand how some customers can be… We’re not one of those kind of people! You’d think someone that’s working for tips would have a bit more common sense. It’s not a difficult concept! I’m one to tip very well when justified, but not this time! This would be the very first time in my life where I didn’t leave a tip and I’m in my 40’s! I never leave negative reviews because I know most people only cry when they have something bad to say, but this time I felt the need to leave a candid review for those that are looking for a great place to dine. When the lack of service was brought to ISAIAH, the Manager on duty’s attention, he showed no sympathy whatsoever and was like “well, I apologized (very insincerely, mind you), and that’s all I can do”. Coming from a person that has been a manager and understands how unreasonable customers can be, he truly didn’t portray management quality service. Do better, Isaiah! There’s people out there that would love to have both yours and Penelope’s jobs - stay humble… Not everyone is out there just to collect a check! If you don’t like your jobs, find something else! DISGUSTING is...
Read more2, We have been back now a couple of times since the first review. We did dine in and it was pleasant both times. Food was great. We had the chicken tacos on white and beef enchiladas.. both times. The service was wonderful. Thank you Nachos staff. What a difference. I suppose dining in is the way to go with this restaurant! We will be back. 😀
1, We are a local business and like to keep business local ourselves. However, not happy with the service received today over the phone when trying to place the order.
Note: We ordered from here 2 weeks ago and it did not go like today.
They now have RULES on carry out orders. You must park in a numbered stall and call so they bring it out to you. You pay with card, they will make and have order ready when you arrive. Pay with cash and they will not make it until you get there and pay, then ordered is started. (Lunch breaks are not very long, this creates difficulty) On carry out orders that they INSIST on walking out, they charge a AUTOMATIC Gratuity.
I called Today to place an order. However, when I was told all of these rules and explained that I was able to walk in and would not pay the GRATUITY charge, I was laughed at. Then, I was told that the cash order would not be cooked or started until I get there and pay. I always tip, extra with good service. So why charge extra and make me wait in my car.
The woman I spoke with was RUDE AF!!! She kept arguing with me, even when I asked for the manager. NO SKILLS!!! NO RESPECT!! We always send our customers there and express how great they are...
NO MORE. FIND BETTER HELP, WITHOUT ATTITUDES.
GO anywhere else!! We ordered from COORS today...They ROCK and will not make you pre pay for the food. LIST of places that do not PRE CHARGE...
EVERY PLACE!!!!!
We will share our experience with all of the locals we do business with!
It was nice to read all the reviews prior. I did notice how the Owner will only respond to thank the good reviews but will not address...
Read moreFirst time and last time I will visit this establishment. Food - I ordered the stuffed sopapilla and I need a steak knife to try to cut through the tough and chewy shell of a sopapilla. It’s gross. I ordered To Go and my 16.99 meal for one ended up $20.83. I thought to myself maybe the menu prices are outdated and I gave the waitress a $5 cash tip. Later, I look at my bill and the waitress added a 15% gratuity to my bill without informing me so I ended up tipping her almost $8 on a To Go order. I have no problem being a generous tipper (I’ve tipped $10 on to go orders before because people have done that to me before) but I have been a waitress for many years and adding a gratuity without informing the customer is a pretty shady thing to do, especially as you accept a cash tip from the customer for more than 20% of the total bill with the gratuity you already charged her. When I worked at a resort, whenever we presented a bill which all bills had a 20% service charge added, that was always the first thing we had to inform each customer of every single time. Would never eat here again as my first try of the food is horrible and am not happy at all about the shadiness by the waitress.
UPDATE: Not sure how to reply to the owner’s comment but his comment leads me to believe the waitress was even shadier because I came inside the restaurant and placed this order from inside the restaurant. This was not a curbside order and no food was brought to me at my car. I understand service charges and accept them but my complaint is not being informed of them. The owner’s comment leads me to believe I should have never been charged this fee since I ordered inside the restaurant.
2nd Update/Response: I appreciate the owner’s willingness to resolve the issue and am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 based on that but I would prefer not to try the food here again so a future gift certificate is not desired. Thank you for your...
