Antojitos Restaurant — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

Stopped at Antojito's for a quick bite while we were on a tour. We had an order of empanadas and two Pina coladas, which came faily quickly. I ordered a grilled chicken breast. We waited an hour for this chicken and fries to be served to us. Yes, an hour! When it was finally served and I tried it, it was very bland and I ate a couple bites and was done. The waitress didn't come to check on us after the first drink and food were dropped off. There were others who waited a while for their food, but not as long as I did. I let the waitress know the food wasn't good. We got our check, which was still charged for the meal, even after waiting an hour. The waitress was still looking for a tip. I'm not one to skimp on a tip, but she didn't deserve one. Didn't check on us, didn't give an apology for the food taking so long, nothing. It was hot outside and we weren't even offered water. I had the arepa relleno mixture (octopus, shrimp, conch) it was $10 the seafood to arepa ratio was comperable to value. However, unfortunately conch was tough and chewy and arepa undercooked. My daughter had the chuleta relleno con chorizo. $25, not worth the price. From where I sat it appeared dried and very much overlooked. She also said the food was very bland. I tried her arroz con gandules and unfortunately agreed, it was very bland and definitely did not taste like arroz con gandules. I left wanting more, just not there. So, when you hear them hollering for you to eat there, don't. Just keep walking....

First mistake. Went in because there were available table (all of them). Not authentic Puerto Rican food. Rice was hard and dry. Tasted a day old. Chicken over cooked. Male staff used women's restrooms, so customers were unable to use facilities. Waitress with blonde hair was a WHOLE LOT. She let me know I should use mens bathroom. It's cleaner. She told us she would prefer her tip in cash. Followed us to cashier. We paid by credit card. Best advice go else where. Don't spend...
