MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Purcellville

Wow, and not in a good way. We have been frequent patrons to this Mod Pizza store and tonight may likely be THE LAST time I ever come here. There was one of two people preparing the pizzas that actually knew what customer service means. He had a friendly demeanor, listened to our requests and complied to make great pizza. Sadly, he was the ONLY person behind the counter that looked like he actually LIKED what he was doing. The person doing the cooking and cashing people out was not friendly and pulled my mini pizza out of the oven before it was cooked well so that it was hot all the way through. My pizza was barely warm.

In the past, the people behind the counter were friendly, welcoming and made our pizzas with care that showed they wanted us to enjoy the meal we purchased. The occasional sourpuss was there, but the others in the store overshadowed that negativity.

I am so incredibly disappointed in the trend we've experienced here and our experience here this evening. We will be finding a new place to enjoy pizza from...

I eagerly awaited the opening of Mod Pizza in Purcellville, after enjoying other Mod locations. I was not disappointed, in fact i found it better than other Mod's i have been to... Food was excellent, service was fast, friendly & focused, atmosphere was fun & lively, dining room was clean despite a continual flow of customers. I spotted the GM, Anthony, greeting customers, but also what i loved was i saw him praising his staff..

I had the individual pizza, which comes with unlimited toppings.. i had red sauce (zesty & tiny bit sweet), pesto, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, onions, green pepper, black olives, asiago, parmesan ... and more mozzarella 😁. It is the only place i get the exact pizza i want. Crust is light, crunchy & smoky from the oven. Nice selection of drinks, too.. teas, fruit juice drinks and sodas.

Ordered Take out online with my wife tonight. I let her be in charge of ordering while I got my things together to drive out and back. Upon arrival I was greeted in the usual friendly manner that MOD does and was asked if I was picking up. I was and a smile broke out on most everyone on the line. I picked up my pizzas and was told they were made with an extra sprinkle of love along with a milkshake with a heart floated on the top of it. Apparently my wife put in the special requests to put extra love on our order. I got home to find that not only was the heart floated on the shake but also they put my pepperoni in the shape of a heart on my pizza too. I guess this is what I get for letting my wife order, but the fact that the MOD team in Purcellville played along is pretty funny as well.
