One of the best restaurants in the South Hill area. Great beer selection, a large bar section, and wonderful food combine in a restaurant where the family, the boys from the office, or a local softball team can all come to eat, drink, and be happy.
I prefer to experiment around with their beer offerings and try the in house brews and/or seasonal offerings. They offer "flights" which are a great way to sample the offerings without breaking the bank or a breathalyzer.
On the food side they offer standard burger and pub fare as well as some steak, chicken, and fish entrees along with a few salads. I am a aficionado of beef so the burgers and sirloin are my go to. The sirloin has always been flavorful and tender and cooked right. It is obvious their chefs put care in their offerings even when it is a packed house. I would've included a pic, but it looked and smelled so good I just dug in. Sorry, Google, but I can't let it get cold while I snap pictures, right?
Dessert offerings are nice and ice cream cupcakes are a neat idea. The pick 3 plate is good for sharing as there is definitely enough to go around.
Finally, service is spectacular. Everyone of the staff has always been cordial and willing to accommodate any reasonable request, even when busy on a weekend night. We had a large group that dwindled down to a couple of people and it no longer made sense for us to occupy a large table. We offered to relocate to a smaller table when one opened so that the larger table could be made available. We were quickly accommodated with new drinks at the new table and the new server for that area was very delightful even though she knew we had already eaten and were just hanging out and drinking. That type of service goes a long way and speaks volumes to the staff and management.
So, if you've made it this far, what is the hang up? You should have already stopped reading, clicked on the Directions button and be...
Read moreWe have been to a different Ram and really enjoyed it so we decided to try out the Puyallup location. When we got there it wasn't super busy and we were seated right away. The waitress came and took our drink orders and food orders within a few minutes so it started off good. However, we waited over an hour for our food and when we got it the burger meat was so chared and burned my burger was inedible, my daughter ate hers because she was hungry but hers was way over done as well. My son picked up a fry and there was a long hair under his fries stuck to the plate. The waitress never came by to check on us, never came to fill up our drinks she wad literally MIA. I had to go ask someone at the front to send a manager to our table. After telling the manager the issues we had she told me she would remake my burger to take home, and that she would comp the whole meal. She apologized several times and said she would send the waitress out to fill our waters while we wait for the remake of my burger. Waitress had major attitude when she comes back since the manager had spoken with her. She fills up our waters and we all said thank you (myself two teens and 2 under 10) and she doesnt say a word. About 15 minutes later she brings out the to go burger and in a sparky attitude says "I'm sorry you had a negative experience " and stops off. I was literally in shock! I had never had this experience at a Ram before. I wouldn't have even asked for a manager if the waitress would have come checked in on us and learned my burger was burned and charcoal. Thank God the manager was much nicer, she helped to...
Read moreAfter being seated by the hostess, I said thank you and received no response, only a look of, I don't wanna be here type vibe, like the whole world was irritating her. I ordered a side salad, and when the lady brought it out to me she had started to walk away and I had to tell her I needed a fork. She brings back the fork and starts to walk away again when I noticed I needed a napkin also. So she had to run back and get a napkin for me. There were no utensils, napkins, or sauces. I dnt understand why this stuff was not already on the table. While I'm eating my, I am barely halfway through the salad when they brought out my main meal which was a Hawaiian burger with no fries. I had assumed that burgers come with fries. Just because I ordered a side salad doesn't mean that I didn't want the fries also. That should have been clarified. When I got my fries, they were hot, but the texture was chewy instead of crispy. Its like they were sitting under the heating lamp and not made fresh. The burger was ok, maybe ease up on the amount of sauce being put on the burger. Overall, the energy of this place was soo drab and negative. This place wasn't even busy. My waitress was just nice enough and even though I gave some bad feedback, I still left a tip. I believe if the hostess didn't have such a negative snotty vibe about her, I think I could've been ok with everything else. First impressions are a must in my book. Be a little more cheerful when you're greeting guests next time, it will set the tone for a customer having a bad experience or a great enjoyable experience. Don't believe I will...
