Went here today hoping to buy my son a bike. There was only one bike that was the right size. When the Target employee got the bike down for us, we checked it out and noticed there was resistance on the bike when pushing it with no person on it. Upon further inspection, the chain was not installed properly and the tires were flat. The employee told me he is the one who put the bike together and it was fine. I then noticed while testing the brakes, that they weren't working. Again, the employee told me it was fine. Finally I said dude, the chain isn't on right and the brakes don't work, that's not fine or normal. I asked him, if he was the person who put the bike together, if it was possible he could make some adjustments to get it working properly. With an attitude, he said no and started walking away. As he started to walk away (while I was attempting to have a conversation with him) I asked him to have the manager come out. He said yeah ok and walked away with an attitude. After waiting for several minutes, I found another employee and requested they contact the store manager for me. It was 4:10 pm on a Wednesday and I heard someone on the walkie talkie reply back that the store manager left early for the day. I then asked for the Assistant Manager or whoever was in vharge and after several calls with no reply, the employee told me no one was available. I then pushed the bike to the customer serice counter, explained and demonstrated the issues with the bike and was offered 10% off. 10% off a $120 bike with no air in the tires, no brakes, and improperly assembled gear and chain mechanisms. Read moreI was in the neighborhood of the South Hill mall, which I have not been in for many years. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything very clean and people extremely polite. I felt safe because security was visible. I went next-door to target to pick up a boxed hair color product to cover my gray hair that has been emerging. I was surprised to see so many things locked up, which makes me sad, but I understand retailers are suffering from the really poor value systems anyway, there was help immediately available and then I went to go check out and there was a lot of people, but a young woman who was wearing a really nifty Fan around. Her neck had stepped up to the plate to check people out that had cash and she was moving very rapidly so the line just was taking off anyway she was super pleasant and kind and then I reached for a coupon and checked out and then got a phone call so I wasn’t paying attention and I left my products on the counter, she immediately made a funny joke about being blonde And made sure that I got my products before I walked out into the parking lot. Super nice I hope to call the store to give her manager a compliment. We were moving very quickly and it was great. People were very polite. Read moreThis store is a joke and their drive up service is TRASH! On 10/31 I came here after placing a drive up order and I went thru the app to say I’m on my way. By the time I parked they cancelled my order. I had to wait over an hour for them to tell me I had to cancel the order and that they don’t know which team member cancelled it. Today, 11/16, I placed 2 orders. The second one was ready for pick up and when I went to pick up thru their drive up the attendant told me he didn’t know why the people retrieving the orders skipped my first one but fulfilled the second. 15 minutes later 2 girls came out to tell me that pick up was backed up w 6 orders. I asked if they or I could go get the items to fulfill the order and they told me no. Idk why they saying they’re backed up when they have 2 employees at my window and the parking lot isn’t full. I’m not sure if this is their new protocol at this location but it’s upsetting that they have employees who clearly aren’t working who can do a simple request or allow me to get my order and choose not to.
