Today we took our packages to be returned to the Puyallup FEDEX store at 8 AM and called to have them come out and get the packages since we are both disabled and cannot walk any distance. The store was empty , no customers . The woman employee told us she was all alone and could not come out . We asked her when someone else would be there and she said 8:30 AM. So we told her we would come back. When we returned after 8:30 AM she said we would have to come in to get a receipt and then she said that most people do not get a receipt when they are returning something. She reluctantly came out and would not take the packages out of the back of the truck because she said she is not allowed to touch anything because she would be liable. We left in disgust and went to the Bonney Lake FEDEX and were graciously given great customer service by Tam. We had to wait our turn, of course, in the truck, but he was kind and considerate and recommended getting a receipt and he brought out the receipt without question. What a difference in customer service. Night and day! When I got home I called and spoke to the manager, Carlos, at the Puyallup FEDEX and he said the women's name was Delaney. Carlos did verbalize his apology, but it did not seem sincere especially since he backed up everything Delaney had said. He was also not giving good customer service. He then gave me his supervisors number Chris Kunard who is District 16 and Alaska manager. I called and gave him my complaint and he listened and agreed that the way we were treated was not good customer service and that he would be going to the Puyallup FEDEX and having a sit down with them. Fourth time going to the Puyallup location and person that assisted me was very snarky, but oh well as long as they get my package shipped. Bill was super expensive 2.5 times I thought it would be. Before paying she didn’t tell me how much each box was, she just told me it’s an extra 8.99 for the box. Just gave me a receipt and didn’t tell me nothing. I got home and checked my receipt clearly and was over charged about 14lbs. Called and she told me it was “too late”. Disputed the extra charges and she finally told me to call the customer service line. Called them and had the run around with 2 reps. Didn’t get the follow up email or call on my “complaint”. Called next day and spoke to 2 other reps to finally get to a supervisor. Just for the supervisor to tell me I need to call the shipping center I dropped my package off at. Read moreI've used this facility twice to ship packages and make copies. Shipping packages has been a bit nightmarish at best. I pre-pay and have the boxes labelled and ready to go. The first time, I'm told that they have to scan my ID to "verify" my identity. My issue with that is that there is no agreement or confirmation that your data will not be shared, stored, etc. In other words, they take sensitive data from your license.
The second time I shipped items, the storeworker cut open the box. Mind you she did this after label was scanned. I was then told that I couldn't ship the items from that location and that I had to go to the "hub." ...so I fought traffic to go to the "hub" in Fife. Now the box is being returned to me 10 days later because the storeworker at this store cancelled the label. I'll take my business to UPS and USPS. Far better and more reliable service.
