If you have certain items that are generic and generally found elsewhere, these guys probably have them cheaper. The quality of the items is a lot better than the quality of the cheaper variations that are offered by Walmart and on top of that they are quite good quality. Now, there are no longer is coupons via the app. So the sales are through the ads only. It's on your due diligence to check to make sure that something is on sale or not and everything goes on sale, especially the leather. The main things that they seem to have here cater to people who are doing basically hobby style stuff. I would know that the largest sections that I hit up a majority of the time are going to be the sublimation, vinyl sections as well as the classic car dioramas... I am not a big fan of their art section where you get pencils, markers etc. As they have since slowly culled a lot of stuff out of there... But if I don't have time to go to the art store in Tacoma, it kind of does the trick.
They do have some leather craft stuff in there but I would not be going in there. Looking for thread as their thread section is abysmal.
Have a good selection of buttons, fabric and lace or trim. Their notions are okay, but it seems that you're also competing with other customers to buy the notion since they're such a low price that certain colors can typically be out of stock.
I would not say this place specializes in a lot of the fabric enhancing products like thickeners, stiffeners and whatnot but there are...
Read moreMy first time today coming to this hobby lobby & it was my second time in one day. I got there at 7:50 which I didn’t realize they closed at 8pm which still leave 10 mins before they close for one item I was getting. One of the doors was already closed while one of the employees & what looked like the manger both looked at me & proceeded to look away as if I would just go away. I then proceeded to knock on the door because I still saw customers around the store. After I knocked on the door the manger said nothing but point to the other door. I also had a return from earlier that day which I was going to exchange my Items for a bigger size so I had a hobby lobby bag with me which I did not do due to the uncomfortableness & I wasn’t the only or last customer in the store. All the employees made me feel as if I was not welcomed to which I understand the frustration of closing in 10 minutes but I was only there to get ONE item & leave. I’ve also worked in costumer service for 8 year plus majority retail & never were we allowed to treat our customers that way. In fact would have to help them if it was not closing time yet. It was my first time coming to this location & in...
Read morePrior to entering, I had only seen the political reviews where the reviewers were angry that the owners of a store dared to assert their First Amendment rights. Those reviews were always negative. I saw a clean, well-stocked store with such a wide variety of things from fabric to paints, to wood, to tiny train parts... this store had it all. In a time that often the criminals that we cannot call criminal for fear of being labeled a racist or bigot, the big box stores are understaffed and honestly, a mess. Woke individuals are boycotting this chain of stores because of the owner's beliefs. This is awesome. I, and any other open-minded individual, can shop in safety and purchase in-stock items for great prices. The items we chose were well priced and good quality. The lady I asked a question of, smiled, and walked me right to the exact thing I was looking for. I am old enough to remember this being how all stores were, rather than the impolite staffers who are too busy on their phones to assist you that are fixtures in to many stores now. Well done, Hobby Lobby. Well done. If I could give more than five stars, this place would certainly get more stars. I will be...
