Disappointment. I got up to play some music. When I returned to my seat, my drink was touched, my water was fiddled with, and my sunglasses - and their case - were gone. So, I listened to what I paid for, knowing that never again will I return to this disappointment of a place. What makes it disappointing? What happened. But, moreover, that the character of the bartender and those there who were her regulars would so cheapen themselves that they collectively would facilitate such egregious violations of a customer, actively and passively, was a betrayal. As I am new to Puyallup, and intend to be here for some time, doing what was done to me was poor judgment. And bad business. Disappointment, thy new name is Scotty's Grub and Pub - where you can forget about it being a pub (it is not) and the character of the people is "Grub"-by. Avoid. It is places like this that should not have survived Covid. Sadly, better places did not make, but one like this did. Disappointment.
Update: Beware of this place if you value the humanity of other people and respect them. The racist filth that emerged from random customers while I was present recently, on a return to see if it might deserve another chance, was shocking. Moreover, a drug addict who rents locally was there, with the backpack that she carries around, and she was observed selling drugs. This place should...
Read moreThe bartender was awesome. Attentive a prompt upon us entering the bar. We had the special, something mixed with strawberry puree and kiwi juice and it was only five dollars but it tasted horrible. I actually felt bad that the bartender was having to upsell it to the customers. There is not enough seating in this establishment but that could simply be a Covid restriction being forced upon the bar as a requirement to be open. The clientele were obviously, mostly regulars. I could tell by the way they would all stare anyone who entered up and down. Because of the drink, the seating and the feeling of uncomfortablness and almost unwelcomedness I'm giving this establishment three stars. It would have gotten two had it not been for the awesome bartender. Unfortunately I won't be returning and I would not recommend this establishment to any of my...
Read moreI followed a bartender from the Browns Point neighborhood, Mel is the best bartender in Pierce County, she has been my bartender for over a decade. Her customers here call her âMamaâ The girl truly knows her job and is friendly with everyone, I know her well enough that respect is always first. First time I have ever been here and it truly is a fun environment, the customers are also friendly , nope, no air conditioning, but you canât beat the prices. $6.50 for a micro pint, thatâs unheard of. The food is bar food, no fryer, but they have an oven, Mel made me the best Pub sandwich I have ever had in a dive bar. The girl can cook. If you are in the area, stop by this place. This bar sits right in the path of âCruise Puyallupâ a once a month car show...
