I don't eat meat or dairy 2 nights out of every week. So when I'm in a hurry these nights, and there isn't too many vegan fast food options out there, I can usually count in Chipotle for a delicious veggie burrito. This night, I got to the front of the line and noticed that the tray of fajita veggies was empty, so I took it upon myself to ask "oh, are you guys out of veggies for the night?" and was told that there would be more coming out in about 4 or 5 minutes, so I proceeded to put in my order. After putting the rice and beans down, he put on the condiments that I asked for, and then immediately started wrapping my burrito. So I said "uuuuh, so those grilled veggies aren't coming out anymore??". The guy wrapping it said "apparently not" with no eye contact at all, and immediately passed it to the cashier. So I calmly explained to the cashier that I didn't think I should be getting charged full price when I was only getting half my burrito. He says "you ordered a veggie burrito, so that's what you're being charged for." So I told him "yeah, but you guys don't have the veggies! If you're just going to charge me the same that you would if there was a pile of peppers in there, then couldn't you at least comp the juice or the guacamole that I'm buying?". And all he had to say was no, and that there was nothing he could do. And mind you, this all happened while someone who looked to be a manager was buzzing around behind them the whole time, which tells me that they simply didn't want to deal with me.
Look, I understand potentially not having all your food available if you guys are about to close in under an hour. What drives me nuts though was the total breakdown in communication regarding this. Unacceptable. Next time I'll just drive out of my way to a Chipotle in a different town.
EDIT: so the above experience warranted a 2 star review. However, after getting home, I'm realizing that I have only a tiny cup of guacamole because the cashier never bothered to ask what size I wanted. This is forcing me to downgrade my review to 1 star... Can't believe how badly this location fumbled tonight. In hindsight, I should've just left the attempt at my order right there on the counter and walked out without paying....
Read moreOne of the worst experiences ever. I ordered tacos and chips for pickup. It said to pick up the food at 8:20. I show up at 8:30, and the one employee (sadly didn’t catch his name) was totally distracted putting together an order… turned out to be mine. I drive all the way home, sit down, open the bag. It’s not my order. I drive all the way back, tell that same kid he gave me the wrong order, he doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t apologize. The woman who’s order I accidentally got was actually there, so he literally just threw the bag at her and said “heres your order”. The BAG THAT I OPENED THAT I JUST TOOK HOME WITH ME. She obviously said she wants a new order and he just looked so annoyed. So anyway I had to wait an extra 10-15 mins for my order to be made (they’re super slow) and 2 of the staff were kind to me, but this kid has an attitude problem. I’ve worked in food service before, i know how it is. You NEVER treat customers this way. I asked the girl at the counter for a free drink because what was supposed to be a 5min order turned into a 30min process. She didn’t even hear me out, just kinda handed me the cup aggressively. Funny how not a single employee offered me anything for the inconvenience, I had to be the one to bring it up. I barely even got an apology. I am not one to complain cause I totally get how working in customer service is. But this was just unacceptable. I felt SO uncomfortable in that store- none of this was ok AT ALL. What I’m still shocked about is the kid trying to give a customer an order that someone already took w them and opened. I wish i got his name because he needs a serious...
Read moreVery disappointed with this Chipotle so far. I feel badly for the employees as they’re completely overwhelmed and not adequately trained. Chipotle management needs to step it up. I feel many of their issues are avoidable despite limited staffing. If Chipotle management is reading this.. Please make your modified hours known somewhere other than a piece of paper on the door. It’s annoying driving there only to guess if you’re open or not, especially when google, the chipotle app , and the automated phone message states you’re open during normal business hours. Turn mobile ordering off if you can’t fulfill orders or will have people waiting for 1+ hour for their food. It makes zero sense to have the mobile order option available after 8 if you’re going to lock your doors early and refund everyone who places an order. Provide better training to employees, every time I’ve gone here something is always wrong with the order when I place a mobile order. If I’m ordering in person, the order will be right but I’ll be charged incorrectly (like charging for guac on a veggie bowl) It seems like this location is constantly running out of food. I’m a little perplex how this can happen so much, especially when your hours are modified.
I don’t want to see this location shut down which I fear may happen eventually if these issues keep happening. If management can be more engaged this location can be extremely successful especially since the next nearest chipotle is half...
