Seldom do I leave a review, unless the establishment is worth to write about. The latter is certainly the case here!
I have been looking for a casual Poke / Sashimi restaurant with FRESH fish that not only provides fresh ingredients, but also, provides genuine and friendly guest service.
Ahi Poki is perfect for a quick lunch or for dinner with an elaborate menu and different sauces to choose from.
This particular restaurant location used to be horrid under the old management, as I sorely recall.
However, since Lupe, the new General Manager, and her team have taken the Queen Creek location under her / their wings, it has overnight become a magnificent restaurant and it fulfils every single feature I have a pet peeve upon:
FRESH INGREDIENTS, CLEANLINESS, a delicious and diverse menu to choose from and, last, but not least, GENUINE HOSPITALITY.
Since the change of management I have dined in as well as ordered for take out on numerous occasions, and each and every single time I devoured the food at the Queen Creek Ahi Poki! Lupe and her team have truly turned this place around and I cannot possibly sing enough praises about how DELICIOUS & FRESH their fish and food is. It is delectable and it is worth to devour.
But, what caught my attention the most, what is one of my pet peeves and what is of utmost priority to me is also guest service.
AhiPoki in Queen Creek not only provides, but in fact excels upon authentic, genuine, PROFESSIONAL and warm hospitality towards their guests, be it for dining in or take-out.
On a note of fresh ingredients, their portions are HUGE! I can never finish a full plate. Their team is very generous and provides not only ample choices to select from, but is also giving when loading your plate / or order.
Lupe and her team always welcome me with a smile on their faces and they make me feel valued as a guest, truly at home.
In today’s day and age where decent guest service and fresh ingredients are a rarity, this restaurant exceeds with their diverse and decadent menu, combined with stellar guest service and warm hospitality.
If you’re considering to eat at Ahi Poki in Queen Creek, do not think twice: Head to this marvellous restaurant and stuff your face with 2-scoop or 3-scoop dishes, musubi or treat yourself with Thai Ice Tea, Green Ice Tea or any of their other delectable delicacies.
This restaurant SHINES with impeccable service and food.
I have lived in and travelled around the world, in and to various states and countries and always look for the best restaurants, wherever I am at any given time. Ahi Poki is truly a GEM in a Queen Creek.
I hope they will never depart, but grow over the years. Queen Creek certainly benefits from a little diversity in the culinary spectrum and AhiPoki certainly fulfils that criteria.
I highly recommend it and have become a regular since the change of management.
Thank you Lupe & the Ahipoki team for always feeding me and for all your hard work and warm hospitality!
I wish you well in your growth and business endeavours and appreciate your presence in Queen...
Read moreI ordered online. As soon as I pushed send I called to let them know my son is allergic to soy so leave them sauce off his order. They didn’t pick up. I called several times while on my way to the restaurant. When I got there there was two girls standing there and noone in the place. I explained the situation, how sick it would make my son and she said they would remake the spam roll and leave off the sauce. I asked if the tuna bowl was ok and she said yes. Then a guy comes out from the back. I asked for the nutritional info on the sauces. He said he had the nutritional info but not the ingredients. I explained my son is allergic to soy and he responds “well if he is allergic to soy he should NOT eat here. We even put soy oil in our rice”. I said you are kidding. He said no he was serious. I told him he would need to cancel my sons order then because he can’t eat any of it. He responded “well we already made it”. I said I don’t care, there is nothing on the website that says you put soy in everything so you need to Cancel it! He responded that it is already paid for. I said I know and you need to credit me for his order. He did say he would issue me a credit but he made it obvious that he wasn’t happy about it. I am really angry that I was told the tuna didn’t have soy in it and if I hadn’t asked about the sauces my son would have been very sick. The lack of caring by these people is unbelievable.
There is no information on any website about the ingredients in the dishes made by ahi poke bowl so if you have any food allergies I would not eat here and I wouldn’t believe them if they say it doesn’t have what you are allergic to. Please beware...
Read moreThe food was pretty good, however I did get a MASSIVE chunk of wasabi in my poki bowl, which kinda ruined it at the start. But I didn’t let it cloud my taste, and kept eating my bowl. Overall it was good, however I did notice the raw fish got in the way of the other flavors, and kind of clouded my taste. I would recommend going for something more like the octopus or something more subtle, rather than the sharp taste. Also, definitely get the avocado. It’s $1.50 more, but definitely makes it more creamy. The creamy spicy sauce is a good choice, along with adding a soy sauce packet along with it. Although I only have been here once, these are my personal recommendations. The server was nice but added the wasabi when I asked for the seaweed. Not a biggie, but I did not like the wasabi, so that was a bit frustrating. I wasn’t very clear however when I pointed out the toppings I wanted, so it was a bit on me. The server could have made more eye contact and been more friendly, it seemed like he was a bit shyer and not direct with the explanations. Overall it was a pretty good experience, and the portions were huge (even for the smallest bowl size), and definitely come hungry when...
