I have Doordashed for this place quite a few times with no real issues except once when I had to wait an oddly long amount of time for them to bag a small order. But nonetheless, I decided to indulge my Wife and Daughter who wanted to bring me here for Father's Day to try it out. We had never been to this restaurant to eat before.
We arrived excited because I had picked up a free takeout menu while Dashing and we all had an idea of what we wanted to order. When we entered the host guy asked if we minded a high table. I said we'd prefer a booth if available (I have back issues) and he dramatically told us they had none and it'd be a 40 minute wait. Okay, not a big deal, I thought I'd just tough it out. So he seated us in a busy section. It took our waitress quite some time to acknowledge us. But when she finally did we were ready so we placed our orders. Not long after she brought us some dirty silverware, only 2 sets too, but I ordered a burger so I shrugged it off. My wife noticed the silverware was dirty. There were water spots on them but also food particles. The next time she came over to bring us our drinks my wife politely asked for different silverware stating they were dirty. The waitress snarkly replied, " oh thats just because we don't polish them here." She walked away and came back with the exact same set she left with, but now they were polished. We could tell they were run under water and wiped down quickly, but just in the areas that would make contact with the food. The handles had the exact same spots.
After that, there was a long wait when finally my burger and fries arrived. Then 5 mins later my daughters wings arrived, but my wife's food was not coming. We started to wonder if the waitress was not bringing her food on purpose because of the silverware incident. I could also tell my burger had been sitting a while because it was not hot at all and the fries were halfway cold.
After I was about halfway done eating (roughly 10 mins) I noticed our waitress talking to the manager and looking at us. Then he slowly made his way over to us, checking on other customers in our section first. We explained the situation and he went into the kitchen to check my wife's food. Literally 2 mins after he vanished a different waitress brought it out. My wife had to wait about 15 mins after my daughter and I got our food before getting hers.
Now we all had food but my wife practically had to eat alone. We did end up getting comped for my wife's dinner and the waitress did apologize after talking to the manager for her remark. That is the only reason I am giving 3 stars here and not less. The host sat us in a section with an overwhelmed waitress that clearly couldn't handle all the tables she had. And the soft spoken manager tried to tell us later that they do not bring all the food out at the same time here because its not their procedure. Huh? I can't belive that.
I would say that this place does not have strong leadership, customer service is not enforced nor priority. Prevention is key, and this place is more reactive than proactive. Especially after reading other reviews.
I will continue to pick up orders from here for doordash, but my family will not be back to eat here for a long time.
Update 1: I filled out the form they requested from me. There will be another update if anything actually happens.
Update 2: Corporate replied quickly stating they would address the issue with the location. They also apologized and gave me 1500 blazin points. It took 2 days for the points to register. I don't know if they ever expire or what exactly I can do with...
Read moreHard to say where to begin, I suppose I'll start with my wife sandwich. She ordered a burger with avocado on it, it came with avocado, was extremely hard almost like plastic. It also came with avocado skin and plenty of it. I ordered some Jamaican Jerk wings, those were absolutely horrible, I actually started to get sick from it while I was still there. So I went to the bathroom. The stall was covered in feces and urine and the rest of the bathroom was in complete disarray. Instead of remaking the burger they just brought out more avocado. I asked to speak with the manager and she came over. I expressed my concern about the restroom and the burger in which she replied I'll have somebody clean it. This is where it gets interesting. No attempt was made to comp are drinks or anything like that, which is fine. I paid for the food and we left. I went to their website and lodged a complaint, and received a phone call a few days later from the general manager. Apparently the manager on staff that we spoke with reported our incident without mention of the bathroom. Also the manager on staff reported that she spoke with us for almost 30 minutes and that we left happy. The reality is she spoke with us for about 3 minutes and wasn't very friendly. How about a week after that a friend of mine that I work with visited there to get wings and got food poisoning as well. There seems to be a real problem with a management if they can't even keep a bathroom clean. Especially if they're going to lie about what happened to their own general manager. I got a refund via the general manager, however that took almost a month-and-a-half to process. I've spoke with other people about this experience and I found that everyone I have spoken with has had a problem with that particular restaurant. The Buffalo Wild Wings in Tempe was always nice but the one in San Tan is complete garbage. Eat there if you want to but you're risking your health. They have a real bad problem in that kitchen.
Edit: I posted this almost 4 months ago. Not word one from the owners or a reply to this comment. Goes to show that they don't...
Read moreCustomer service in today’s world can go a long way, especially at the prices us as the consumer are expected to pay. Went to this location with my wife and Daughter. My daughter who is 2 years old got the cheeseburger kids meal for $8. With that a side of mandarin oranges. The oranges come in a little cup with about 3 little orange pieces. She eat that in about 3 seconds so a little time went by and we asked can we get a little bit more oranges, no problem the waitress says. Brings it out and once again a tiny cup of about 3 little pieces. No worries obviously thats the size they put them in. Get the bill and what do I see a $.99 charge for oranges. Almost laughable at this moment, ask to speak to the manager not to get the charge off the bill but to give some feedback as I am a manager myself and didn’t feel that was a legit charge. He comes over and basically treats it like not his problem. Tells me it’s a 2 pinch scoop and sometime you get more than others. Great answer from a guy in the customer service business.
Give him my card and he comes back and tells me he agrees it’s a little ridiculous the Portion size for the price. I tell him Red Robin does unlimited sides for their kids meals since it’s for freaking kids and they are mandarin oranges.
Now after this whole conversation over a $.99 charge he proceeds to be a prick and says would you like to take a thing of oranges home in a very sarcastic way and starts laughing.
It was never about the $.99, it was about the way it was handled. So now I will never spend another $.99 in Buffalo Wild Wings again, I will tell everyone I know about this experience so I am sure this goes nowhere but maybe better service and some training can help you with the next...
