Chik-fil-a no longer serving original flavor chicken strips!
Poor customer service this visit as well.
Very disappointed with my experience last night.
I tried to place an order for "Original" not spicy, chicken strips last through my app. I couldn't find the item listed. I thought maybe they updated their menu and forgot to add their original chicken strips back in, so I placed an order for a 3 ct. Spicy chicken strips, and under Special Notes, wrote, "Original flavor chicken strips only pls." I figured if there was a problem with my note or my request, they would call me, as they specifically asked for my updated number after my order submission, "in case there are problems or questions with my order." I drove to chik-fil-a, parked in the designated curbside parking spot and waited. I never once received a phone call, text, email or push notification questioning my request on my order. The food was brought out, and the order was read off as spicy chicken strips. I explained my situation that I had typed a note under the special notes section, stating we were ordering original strips. Our conversation was interrupted when another gentleman came out with the order of the other party in my vehicle, who also ordered from the chik-fil-a app on their phone. The person who brought out their food, barely even went over the order, said it very fast, and then just left, leaving that person to sort their food out on their own. Back to the problem with the chicken strips. The men who brought out the order said they no longer offer original flavor strips. I was shocked! I went into the restaurant, and waited to speak to a pathetic excuse of a manager, who was less than helpful. I was given excuses that they gave out fliers last week to people in the restaurant, and that corporate decided that since some locations order more spicy strips than original, that Arizona is the test market to try for eliminating the original strips first, yada yada. I was expecting an apology and how can we make this right? Not, a bunch of excuses. I asked for a plain filet or a plain salad with plain chicken. She said she could do that, but she needs the strips, which were on the far side of the parking lot. I told her if she wanted to go to my car and get them, be my guest. I then explained to her my reasoning for saying that, (as I'm never a lazy person) I had a hip procedure that afternoon, which was why I was ordering food instead of cooking, and why I ordered ahead and parked, so it would be ready. If I wanted to walk around the parking lot and the building, I would have gone to the gy. I told her again, she's welcome to go to my car and get the strips. She said, I could just keep my order since I've paid for it, and then I could pay again for the salad or filet, unless I want to go get the strips. I told her to forget it. I don't feel good enough to go back and forth. I told her I'd like the number of her manager so I can speak to them of my problems here tonight. I also told her that once people know they can't get the original chicken strips, they will likely lose a lot of business. I used to rave about their top quality customer service and their chicken. Now?...
Read moreThis location needs some help management wise. The drive-thru is chaos. Came for breakfast, line was at least 15-20 cars deep, they only had one single lane open at the time I arrived around 10:10am, after several minutes in line a young guy came out to open a second lane and started taking orders however he was the only one going back and forth between the lanes. No one was helping make things run faster and smoother. all of this, several cars behind me unfortunately were able to order before me since the lines got split and it was no longer going in order at that point, it literally had just turned 10:30 by the time the kid got over to my vehicle to take our order, tells me no more breakfast. I ask to speak to a manager, they can't get one out, so Im stuck in this line until I get to the window to speak with one, and finally a young guy pops up and says oh ya im the manager, I explained the situation after sitting in line for half an hour!!!! He then tells me there's not much he can do because they stop "producing" breakfast at a hard 10:30, and he isn't sure if they even have anything left. ??????? what?! So I then ask him who I need to speak with that is above him, general manager , or owner perhaps... he says oh I'm not giving you their personal information. LOL I don't need personal info just names so that I can reference and speak to them about how the handling of this situation went. He finally gave me a name of a lady Juneen who he referenced as the GM. I ended up leaving after 40-45 minutes in line, it would have been much easier to just accommodate me and understand that I was in the line well before 10:30, and that their lack of management should not be placed upon me, but Its sad to see a lot of very young kids working who just do not know what customer service is. Likewise, if someone came in 30 mins before close, and the line was long, they won't allow someone to order when it is their turn??? ABSURD. Never in our 5 years of coming here have we ever been treated so rudely with such poor service, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised when you have a bunch of 20 year olds managing...
Read moreI stay optimistic hoping my experiences at this location will improve, but sadly they do not. Employees are always very nice, but very, very busy hustling at their jobs. I kept hearing a loud conversation between employees about how more people were supposed to be working. I pre-ordered online 2 bowls of soup for drive thru pick up. Drive thru pick up was so long and it appeared that the lobby was empty. I switch my drive thru to lobby pick up. I check in with an employee to make sure they have my order, yes, it is confirmed for lobby pick up. A few orders are carried to the lobby, a few orders are called for carry out. The customer that was inline before me finally asks about her ice cream cone and shake and relays it has been 10 minutes. Apologies made, customers behind me receive their orders. Meanwhile I am watching orders being filled and going out the drive thru window. I see a cup of soup go out. Still watching and listening to employee conversations happening and hear someone asked if the bowl of tortilla soup and chicken noodle soup are going to be finished anytime soon…soup seems like an easy order, not complicated, fill the bowl, put the lid on, grab crackers, tortilla strips, napkins, spoons, into the bag….exchange thank you and my pleasure…. But not tonight. Waited patiently 25 minutes… come on ….at this point I have talked myself out of soup. I ask the cashier if he can find out about the soup. Supervisor comes over (I am the only customer in the lobby at this point), I ask if she knows when my soup might be ready, no, sorry, her explanation I didn’t understand- had to drop a whole new tortilla soup? Didn’t make sense. I asked for a refund, she processed it. As I am pulling out of the parking lot I get a notification that my order is ready?!?!?!?! So much… just for soup. Considering how busy all the employees are and look to be working very hard… it is surprising that I consistently have long waits, cold fries, mediocre food, no soup. Chick Fil A is so much more than this, so much better. I want to live this location, but I just can’t love the disappointment at the product...
