Our first visit was shortly after their grand opening, and we were pleasantly surprised by the surprisingly delicious food, a significant improvement over a competitor. The prices were also quite reasonable. However, on subsequent visits, we noticed a decline in both food quality and portion sizes, along with a price increase. Despite this downward trend, we decided to give them another try. Yesterday's visit, unfortunately, proved to be a significant disappointment. While the staff member was polite and the restaurant was clean, the food was again subpar. The wait time was unexpectedly long—nearly 25 minutes. My burrito was lukewarm, the tortilla was overly crisp and tough, and the ingredients were disproportionate, with far too much tortilla and pico de gallo compared to the chicken and a noticeable lack of guacamole. My companion's carne asada fries were similarly disappointing, lukewarm, with a small portion of fatty, chewy carne asada and insufficient guacamole. Our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. We gave them several chances to improve, but the food quality only declined, so we won't be returning. We'll travel further for better food. It's a shame, as its convenient location would have made it ideal for supporting a...
Read moreGreat food! We just stopped by at a quarter til 3 and they had a few people inside. We got our food within 5-10 minutes and it was hot and fresh. We are picky with carne asada, and this meat had the seasoning and slight sear that we like. Pictured is the 5 beef rolled tacos topped with carne asada! We got a side of beans and they are great too. How their beans taste is my guide to if they’ll be a good Mexican place— they’ve got it down. Prices are very reasonable and cheaper than Filiberto’s or Los favs. I know for sure that this will be a midnight staple since they are open 24 hrs. Kitchen is very open and looked spotless. My only dig is that under the tables were a bit messy with wrappers and food scraps. Otherwise the store was clean, but they might need to do a quick sweep through more frequently because people are apparently messy eaters lol. I don’t understand the reviews saying that they’re pricey? Rilis is literally cheaper than the Los favs and Filiberto’s, not to mention that non processed meat is bound to be more expensive than some half meat half filler patty, so it’s not fair to equate their fresh food and ingredients to the same price point as other fast food joints. I don’t know, the food was great and the price was very fair...
Read moreMediocre at best.. very greasy food literally dripping in the bag. I ordered the number 4 and I askebd to get a side of jalapeño grilled. I went to pick up my order she showed me a cup of diced jalapeño. I told her no a whole jalapeño grilled she said deep fried now I'm looking confused because deep fried is fried in grease and all I want is a grilled jalapeño. She then begins to speak in Spanish telling the cook " I'm asking for a whole jalapeño but in a rude way" he hands her a whole raw jalapeño she grabs it with her hands and proceeds to hand it to me like ma'am now why the heck would I consume something you literally touched with your hands and why would I want a RAW JALAPEÑO. I paid for a side of jalapeño and left it. I don't understand how she didn't understand I wanted it cooked on a grill when there is literally a picture on their menu with a cooked jalapeño. The birrias and consomé didn't taste seasoned, the onions were raw instead of cooked with the meat however, I'm aware everyone might cook it differently but I'm not used to eating raw onions in my birrias, the rice was bland all in all i'll stick with...
