OK, this was the second time trying this place and I have to say it sucks even worse than the first time. I sure hope the owners of this restaurant read these reviews. So we wanted to get a chicken version of the avocado bacon burger… The meal itself is $13.99. We had them remove the spicy pepper sauce and the tomatoes add mayo and add a chicken breast… This restaurant charged me an additional $3.30 for a chicken patty substitute… Bringing the total of the meal to almost $19. Of course, they have no idea what they’re doing in the kitchen, and put tomatoes on the sandwich and the spicy pepper sauce as well… so we had to have them remake it. I flagged down the manager, who could pretty much care less about my sandwich being messed up, she wrote on my receipt what exactly I wanted, and took it back to the kitchen… About 8 minutes later, they brought it out with different cheese that wasn’t melted, and I swear they rinsed off the chicken breast because I still had the spicy pepper sauce on the side of it… No apology, no second visit to our table, nothing by the management . But, they were all too busy hanging around and talking because I could hear them all yapping loudly while we were eating our dinner it, was extremely unprofessional. Then when I spoke to the manager about the price of the meal, she didn’t say anything but “yup “ . The fries were super salty, the best part about the meal were the onion rings… We will never go to Whataburger again and I sure hope this is read by the ownership of the restaurant because they are doing an extremely poor job. Another example was when I was waiting for the sandwich to be remade. A customer came in through the lobby and waited at the counter over five minutes, having to go around the corner to flag somebody down in the back to have them come up and ring him up. Check the video from Friday, September 6 between 2 and 3 PM. Also to make things worse, they did not give me back my receipt and when I asked the person at the front counter, they asked me what my order number which of course I had no idea what it was the manager, then made a point to come out and say that she threw away my receipt and re-printed it and just handed it to me, no apology for the messed up Food no apology for the poor service… I’m a manager at my job and if I would’ve done that, I would’ve been fired. Read moreI am actually an employee here, but I just wanted to let all of those who check the reviews know how great this place is. 90% of the employees are amazing and are friendly, the other 10% I’ve never met but I’d assume that they are the same. The food is pretty fresh and tastes amazing. Our drink proportions are crazy( a medium here is a large at most places). The customers are a huge reason this place is a joy to work at. They always are kind and understand if I mess up their order( because no one’s perfect). They often complement us and we appreciate it greatly! We clean the lobbies and kitchen often. Also, our bosses are amazing. They are very friendly and are the best to work with. Sometimes, our lobbies don’t seem clean, but that’s because we just got out of a rush or haven’t gotten to it yet. I always make sure the lobby is clean and stocked for the next, and the person before me does as well. My favorite job here is taking orders, whether it be front counter, drive thru, or outside. This is because I get to talk to the people that make Whataburger the amazing place it is. Sometimes, if the line is full when I’m outside, the customer keeps their window down and we talk, even if it’s hot outside! I’ve made a couple friends with customers, like one who comes in on his bike and orders the chicken strip kids meal, or the church people on Sundays that order two #7 with no cheese and a medium Vanilla shake. To end off this review( I am about to start my shift), imma just say my fave order or as my friends call it, the Tony Special: #5 no bun, only lettuce, on the side mayo, with a medium fry and small shake( I recommend the Caramel Latte Shake, it’s my fave.) Read moreI used to work for whataburger and decided to see if I re-hireable at this location. (I used to work at one in Tempe). I talked to someone about 3 weeks ago who was super understanding about why I had left the company previously (very very toxic work environment and I was always doing about 2-3 people’s jobs and I was staying HOURS after my scheduled shift and my manager treated me with utter disrespect and my other manager who knew about it did not and I told her I was quitting that day because I could not take the actual work place abuse anymore) today I called back because the last person I had talked with had updated me on the fact that I was re-hirable (as I was told by the original person I spoke with) and explained the whole situation again to a new manager, and they said “yeah I don’t know who told you to call back because I would never rehire somebody who quit that is so disrespectful and I would not want someone like that to work for my company (like he owned whataburger corporate himself), in a degrading tone for even just calling to ask, and when I had said I have been waiting for someone to call me back for 3 weeks he just said “okay” no apologies on behalf of the company for my inconvenience and time that was wasted multiple hours trying to talk to someone who can give me an answer. So yes I am rehirable but based on your personal belief and not the same belief as other managers you turn me away? That is just absolutely crazy to me. Everyone else that has talked to me at this location has treated me with respect except for this person. I called at around 3:45pm...
