Wanted to try this place out as not many Cantonese-style congee places out here. Came in at 10 and waited for about 20 minutes for a table. Overall, very disappointed as the food was average. I wanted to order some staple items but they were "sold-out". No way it should be sold out within 2 hours of opening. I suspect they probably just didn't make any. Rice rolls were okay but they were just a big mess. No traditional sauces provided at the table such as the sesame, sweet & spicy, spicy ones. Tables were too close together, making for a very uncomfortable experience. This is a soft opening and line was long. So give yourself...
Read more3.5 stars - we went during soft opening in October. Have been super excited about Yin Ji opening in Boston area but our visit was disappointing. The congee was good, but the rice roll was too “thick”. The shrimp size in the rice roll was also notably smaller than what the NY location offers. While I can understand the menu is a little different/smaller, the rice roll was not as delicate as what the NY Chinatown and Flushing locations consistently deliver. Hope this is something they can improve. Overall the food was not bad but feel like they did not live up to...
