TRIED ASIAN'S VEGGIE STIR FRIED RICE FOR THE 1ST TIME AFTER VISITING FOR THE SECOND TIME. I ENJOYED THE OTHER VEGGIE OPTIONS, HOWEVER, THE VEGGIE FRIED RICE & VEGGIES WAS OF A MASH POTATOE CONSISTENCY. BEING UNSURE IF THIS WAS THE USUAL WAY IT WAS PREPARED I ASKED. BEING VERY RESPECTFUL ALWAYS.

WHICH CLEARLY DIDN'T SIT RIGHT WITH ASIANA. I STATED 1ST, I ENJOYED HER OTHER VEGGIE OPTIONS. HOWEVER, I ASKED "WAS THIS THE USUAL TEXTURE OF THE VEGGIE STIR FRIED RICE"? I ASKED IF IT WAS POSSIBLE, IF I CAN GET A DIFFERENT RICE AND THAT I DIDN'T MIND PAYING THE DIFFERENCE OF THE RICE. THE VEGGIE STIR FRY WAS OF A MASH POTATOE TEXTURE INCLUDING THE VEGETABLES.

ASIANA SAID NO, I'LL GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK. I STATED TO HER, THIS WAS NOT THE REASON I BOUGHT BACK THE RICE. I WASN'T LOOKING FOR A REFUND ONLY A DIFFERENT RICE. ASIANA STARTED SAYING "HOW NEW CUSTOMERS DON'T LIKE SOMETHING AND THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY". I REMINDED HER, I DIDN'T BRING THE RICE BACK FOR A REFUND ONLY A DIFFERENT RICE.

ASIANA THEN TELLS ME ABOUT A CUSTOMER SHE HAD THE NIGHT BEFORE, WHO GOT UP AND LEFT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T LIKE SOMETHING SHE MADE FOR HIM. I COMPLETELY SYMPATHIZED WITH HER, CONSIDERING THAT WASN'T FAIR TO HER OR HER STAFF THAT WAITED ON THE MAN. HOWEVER, I PAID FOR MY ORDER AND WAS WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR A DIFFERENT RICE.

ASIANA LOOKED VERY TIRED AND OVERWHELMED, SHE WASN'T TRYING TO HEAR ME. OR FOR THAT MATTER LOOK AT THE RICE I HAD. SHE DIDN'T EVEN OPENED THE BOX, NOT ONCE. ALL SHE SEEN IS THAT I BOUGHT SOMETHING THEY PREPARED BACK AND GOT UPSET. SHE GAVE ME $15 BACK FOR THE RICE AND SAID SHE DIDN'T WANT TO PREPARE NOTHING ELSE FOR ME. I LITERALLY FELT BAD FOR HER, OBVIOUSLY BEING OVERWHELMED WITH WHAT COMES WITH A RESTAURANT BUSINESS AND COMPLAINTS PEOPLE WILL HAVE OR HAD. HOWEVER, NOT BEING MENTALLY ABLE TO DEAL WITH IT WITHOUT TAKING IT PERSONAL. I GAVE HER THE $15 BACK EVEN THOUGH SHE STATED SHE DIDN'T WANT IT, I LEFT IT ON THE BAR TOP.

SHE THEN STATED HOW SHE WAS FAMILIAR WITH MY DAUGHTER AS WELL, BECAUSE I SENT MY DAUGHTER TO PICK UP MY ORDER BOTH TIMES. INDICATING SHE DIDN'T WANT ME OR MY DAUGHTER AT HER RESTAURANT BECAUSE I BOUGHT BACK THE VEGGIES & RICE MASH POTATOES TEXTURED RICE.

I DON'T REGRET ONE BIT BRINGING TO HER ATTENTION THE TEXTURE OF THE RICE & VEGGIES, WHICH SHE DIDN'T CARE TO EVEN LOOK IN THE BOX TO SEE WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. SHE WOULD OF BEEN ABLE TO SEE, THAT THE RICE WAS LEFT ON TOO LONG.

NONETHELESS, THE EXPERIENCE COULD OF BEEN BETTER. AND IT WAS CLEAR SHE DIDN'T WANT TO SERVE ME OR MY DAUGHTER GOING FORWARD. I'M CURIOUS IF HER REACTION WOULD OF BEEN DIFFERENT IF I WAS A DIFFERENT ETHNICITY. HER REACTION WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, I TRULY WONDER IF SHE WOULD OF HAD A DIFFERENT REPONSE IF I WAS ANOTHER RACE. I BELIEVE HER RESPONSE WOULD OF BEEN...

Updated Review - 2/22/25: One of our favorite restaurants in Racine. The food is incredible. The service is always helpful and friendly. We took two of our friends tonight and we all had a great time, left happy, and we cannot wait to go back again! ——- Updated Review - 9/18/24: My wife and I wanted to eat somewhere fun and decided that we should go to Asiana. The food is ALWAYS delicious! The service is friendly, fast, and helpful. We normally eat in the restaurant. This time we ordered on the phone and picked it up. It was still super hot and just as delicious as when you eat there. We got everything we ordered. (Actually we bought way too much food…. but we had leftovers the next day. STILL delicious!). Based on the recent Google reviews and my son's burning desire for dumplings after we dragged him to Carpetland USA, I had high hopes. Only to have them dashed. We dined on a Tuesday night and the service was obnoxiously slow. Most of what we ordered was off the appetizer menu and we still waited 50 min for the majority of our order. They clearly prioritized a table of 9 and a table of 7 at the expense of the rest of the patrons. After the food came, nobody checked in to ask if everything was OK. As it turned out, I ordered vegan soba noodles which were definitely not OK. I do not want to slam too hard on the menu as a whole, as my fiance and kid were happy with their selections. But when I order a vegan dish and 50% of it is wet, mushy fake hamburger I legit wanted to chuck. Spoiler alert, 99% of vegans do not want to eat impossible burgers. I gave half the dish to my partner and had about 4 bites. When I told the server, I kind of just got a blank stare and we were charged full price for the dish anyway. But since I'm going off, the tuna poke chunks were cut way too thick and tasted a bit fishy. We drowned them in soy sauce so as to not waste food bc the app was over $20 😬 on the upside, the portions are generous and the drinks are good.
