I had the pleasure of trying dragon pit barbecue for the first time today after seeing the pictures of their food online which looked incredible and everything about my experience was fantastic. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I was intrigued by the outside patio area which seems like a great place for dining on a beautiful day with one of the patio tables having an extra large set of the game Jenga a classic favorite which I thought was a cool idea and noticed a gentleman who I now know to be Emerson busy at the grill which also gave me high hopes knowing my food would be hot and fresh. As soon as I opened my car door I was greeted with the great smell of barbecue and also Emerson who I have to say is one of the nicest gentlemen I have met and being my first time here I asked him about placing an order to go and am grateful for him making the process especially easy because all I had to do was tell him what I wanted since I had already previously viewed their menu online and he kindly took my order and showed me where to pick it up but I can't stress enough when I say Emerson just seems like a super friendly person with a very positive upbeat attitude that made the entire experience that much better and I consider myself lucky having the opportunity to have met him but let's talk about the food lol. I ordered the Breakfast Biscuit Brisket Sandwich and it was nothing short of the BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH I have EVER HAD!!!! and yes the capital letters are absolutely necessary I jest you not soooo good and HUGE with a biscuit that will knock your socks off and a cheese omelette inside!!! Not an egg with cheese on top but an actual cheese omelette! but the star was the brisket it totally stole the show and took the sandwich from a perfect 10 to a more than perfect 100 seriously you have to try it because as good as the picture is it does not do it justice you have to try it you just have too!!! tasting is believing and this sandwich made me a believer now I can't wait to try the rest of the menu so thanks Emerson for the incredible meal and equally incredible friendly service and attitude...
Read moreI loved the food and was not at all upset about the price (if I couldnât afford it I simply wouldnât eat there) that being said⌠I was very disappointed with the service. I popped in for the first time as I was on a walk and met what I believed to be the owner. A man who was friendly and kind. Didnât buy anything as I was simply exploring town but I told him Iâd be back to eat and a couple weeks later, I was. I didnât see him, but a young lady with a blonde ponytail. Since I had never eaten there before, I had some questions about the menu. I asked if I would be able to get a brisket sandwich but replace the meat with pulled pork. She looks genuinely confused and off put and goes âthe ingredients on the brisket sandwich go best with brisket, thatâs why we built the sandwiches that wayâŚâ I explain that I simply prefer pulled pork and she seriously looks at me like sheâs disappointed and upset and says âyouâre NOT going to like itâ, WHAT!? đ I insist which no costumer should have to do to receive what they want, but I insist and she says âokay I mean yeah sure.. I can swap it out for you but itâs not going to be goodâ đł absolute insanity. How are you going to tell a STRANGER what THEY do and do not like??? and for the record is was absolutely delicious the way I altered it,...
Read moreI am in no means a BBQ connoisseur, but I know what I like. I did not like this. Neither did my other half.
I ordered a Whiskey sour, simple right? It tasted as though it was already watered down. I couldn't taste the whiskey mostly the sour. My SO ordered a Whiskey Sour. It took about 10 minutes to even to receive the drink and once it was there, it tasted like straight Rum. No cherry. Nothing.
The food is subpar, nothing at all to write home about. Very basic. I didn't even get a chance to taste to taste my food, as I sat there and watched my SO be served, then his plates taken when he was done. No word of my food. I did ask for it to be ordered as take out, with the assumption it would be brought out in a take home container... No. I waited AT least 30 min. For this food. The server walks up, after we're just sitting there, twiddling our thumbs. He asks "Would you like your burger now?" I was floored that it was already ready, in the back. I wouldn't know though because I had yet to see it.
I don't usually leave reviews but this had to be passed along. Good luck đđ˝
TLDR: If you want atmosphere and boring food I highly suggest! But I will...
