(update: A few minutes after posting this review, Spread's ordering system seemed to be working again. But it was more than an hour after their opening time. This seems to be a recurring issue, perhaps with staff entering into the system that they have bagels available? Or perhaps it's purely a tech bug? It feels like this has been going on for 6+ months, and given that they don't answer the phone (and the lengthy wait for in-person orders), it is tragically a dealbreaker for folks trying to grab breakfast or lunch during the work day.) Usually good, but their website is so wonky you can't even order different types of bagels. Literally the only bagel option is "gluten free everything" for an extra fee. It's as if someone set the website to "we're out of bagels" back in June and never fixed it. So...it's either come in, order in person, struggle with them finding your rewards account, and then wait longer while it's being prepared... ...or, just going to Dunkin. I'll give this place another shot if they fix their ordering system. Oh, and it always tries to trick you into signing up with some cross-platform OJO service. C'mon. Just let people order without the fuss.

The bagels are very good.but the dine in experience wasn’t. We keep ordering online all the time from this place and had no complaint at all. The first time we decided to walk in and sit and enjoy the bagels we found out that they don’t have any plates to eat the bagels 😳😳. When we asked for plates or even plastic plates they told us that they don’t have any. What’s the point of having tables if there is no plates to serve the bagels then. We got the bagels and they were cold, we politely asked to warm them up and the kid in the register told us it’s not possible. He even suggested to put paper napkins in the table in order to eat. I am attaching pictures how it is to eat in the store if anyone wants to. Management needs to fix many things to improve customer experience if someone chooses to eat in. That was a ridiculous experience and hope they improve next time.

Live from Brooklyn, I'm raving to the internet about a bagel I had on... the Main Line. I'm from a Jewish family that has bestowed upon me 130+ years of genetic New York bagel-eating memories, and I've had just about every hype bagel NYC has to offer. I'd take Spread's over any of them. Their egg bagel specifically, floury-bottomed with a generous flaking of fleur de sel to top it off, is without a doubt the absolute best I've ever had. It's indulgently thick, yet somehow refreshingly light even when holding a BEC, which here comes with thick-cut bacon and a fluffy origami-fold of an omelette. The beautiful space, and sitting in the sunny window, only complete the experience. This brand is the Roberta's of my ancestral dough rounds as far as I'm concerned—and I'm here for it.

Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. The place has a great vibe and is located in a great spot-close to the train station, shops and other restaurants in downtown Wayne. However, there were a lot of not so great things. It started with pretty dirty table and chairs that hadn't been wiped down for quite a bit. We ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese, 1 bagel as is, a bagel sandwich and coffee. It was about a 25, almost 30 minute wait before any of the bagels were ready. I believe there was 1 group of 3 who ordered before us. When our order came, it was missing the one as-is bagel. The cashier was very kind, apologized and gave us 2 bagels instead of the just the one we were missing. I appreciated this gesture. However, one of the 2 bagels was raw inside. At this point, our 40 minute meter was about to expire (we didn't think getting bagels would take 40 mins) and we were all frustrated. The place got very, very full and we were anxious to get out of there. I think all of these problems could have been avoided if there was maybe just more staff... maybe even just 1 person. It looked like only 2 were working and they were moving non stop, so i think the volume of customers just really worked...

I had never been to a Spread Bagelry before I placed a catering order with them for breakfasts for a 2 day event I was hosting. I could not have been more pleased or pleasantly surprised with the whole process and the actual product. From the beginning, Natalie returned my phone call promplty, answered my questions, helped me figure out how much I needed and worked with my requests/needs. When she did not have the answer about a specific allergin I was concerned about, she called me back with the information. The mornings I picked up the orders, they were ready at the time I needed and packaged such that I could transport them. The staff was friendly and helpful. The trays were prepared in a way that was easy to setup at the ultimate location and attendees loved everything: the bagels, spreads, jams, pastries, parfaits, and fruit. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend them. And the best part, they are a local business!! My only disappointment is that I never got a...
