How fabulous is the Actors Lab in Wayne, PA?? Oh, let me count the ways!!!

I was in from LA for a funeral and, as is ALWAYS the case, in pops a self-tape request for 9-1-1 with a pretty quick turn around! This was a last-minute, fast trip and I hadn’t traveled with makeup or any kind of equipment save for my trusty iPhone. Trouble was, none of my Philly friends were available to be an in-person reader! And since I hadn’t traveled with my laptop, I couldn’t zoom!

So, on the recommendation of my friend, Marguerite Mastromatto who had taken classes here, I reached out.

Bryan was an absolute life-saver!!! He was kind, professional, and super-efficient!! He wasn’t phased at all by my request if he had anything I could use to create “soot” on my face for the scene, but immediately came up with a suggestion that was perfect!! So not only did he help me create “soot” that was perfect for the scene, but it hid the fact that I had no makeup! 🤣

This acting studio is the best. Period. I have taken so many acting classes with many different instructors and I can honestly say that Bryan's class is one of the - if not - THE best class I've ever taken. You will focus on Film/TV rather than projecting to the back row in 'theatre' class. Unfortunately, many theatre actors believe that it's the same technique, but it's NOT. Not only will you learn and work your craft, but you will discuss what's happening in the business day to day - the 'how to's' you don't learn in 'theatre' school. You will learn to apply certain techniques to the script right away, rather than do a years worth of just acting 'exercises'. You will also learn how to audition which is SO important, of course. If you don't know how to behave and what to expect in a Film/TV audition, how do you expect to book a job!? Since I've studied with Bryan, I have been continuously booking jobs...this studio is great....

What can I say… Bryan’s class has changed my life and my career for the absolute better. It is mostly due to Bryan himself, but also to the beautiful network of actor classmates that quickly became my family. But again… it’s mostly Bryan. He is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever met. He is there for his students for as many minutes of the day that he can squeeze in and spare. It is a generosity that is hard to match. This is on top of his incredible eye for the work, his crazy good acting skills, and his extensive knowledge of the business itself. I can’t make it clear enough... this guy is God sent. We are not worthy. And he’s nice! And funny! And easy to work with! I’m telling you, it’s nuts. He almost seems too good to be true, but he’s actually just an incredible teacher with the kindest heart. Five...
