First off, Lauren who was working there and I’m assuming is the owner was SO nice. However, after I had ordered my drinks and was leaving I noticed the shelves and the smoothies were just Herbalife smoothies (a pyramid scheme). The shake was actually fairly good, the “energy drink” paired with it tasted like it had something really crazy in it and really upset my stomach. I was excited to see a new smoothie place open, but unfortunately this seem to be just be Multi level marketing protein shakes which is super disappointing. This place is a diet culture scam. A single juice is NOT a meal, do not let the people behind the counter tell you otherwise. This place is singlehandedly selling eating disorders to impressionable college students. I fell for it, so this is my warning to you. While the dairy and gluten free shakes may sound appealing, they are peddling you Herbalife, which has had multiple lawsuits brought up against them. Giving this place your money is opening your wallet to toxic diet culture. No “milkshake and tea place” should be asking me to fill out a form with my birthday and weight loss goals. Walked in thinking this was still the coffee place. Sadly it is not. I thought I'd try a shake anyways and was just so disappointed. Ordered a strawberry-orange shake which should taste like strawberries and oranges right? Nope. Tastes like expensive and completely pointless protein powder. Just another business trying to profit off of diet culture. Even more offensively, they wrote "Be Loyal" on my cup. Uh, what is this weird culture of trying to offer moral advise on a plastic cup?
