Disappointing Cupcakes at $6 Each

I recently splurged on some cupcakes that were priced at $6 each, and let me tell you, that price is wild for what I got. After trying them, I can confidently say it was a letdown.

First off, while the cupcakes were moist, they had a chalky aftertaste that really detracted from the overall experience. They seemed more like a store-bought option rather than something freshly made from scratch. The icing, which I was hoping would save the day, was the worst part. It was overly sweet and had an artificial taste that just didn't sit right with me.it was overly sweet and left a weird aftertaste that just didn't vibe with the cupcake itself.

Honestly, it felt like the person who created these was already enjoying their wine while baking, because the execution was far from impressive.

For $6, I had high expectations, but these cupcakes just didn’t deliver. Save your money, grab your own wine, and whip up some homemade treats instead. You can control the ingredients and flavors, and I guarantee they’ll taste better.

In short, I wouldn’t recommend spending your hard-earned cash on these cupcakes. I expected something special, these cupcakes fell flat. I’d suggest saving your money.

Being an avid baker, it is really hard to find a cupcake that blows me away. Then I went to the NC Fair and found the Boozie Bakes truck... these beautiful creations were not only deliciously light and moist moist, but they also had a creative surprise: You have the option to have them spiked with a boozie shot!

I've never had anything like this so spoke with the founder and head pastry chef, Angel Louis, to ask questions. She was warm, welcoming, and really went out of her way to help me decide what to try, even with everything so busy at the fair.

After her suggestions, I tried the 3 cupcake sampler, with the shot, of course, and each one was even better than the last. My favorite? It's hard to pick just one, but the bacon topped cupcake had me weak at the knees... I mean, isn't everything better with bacon?? I am now a fan and loyal customer 😊

Visit their site and if you see where they'll be, it's definitely worth the drive. Say hi to Angel too and she'll definitely not lead you wrong... those were truly are some of the best cupcakes...
