Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Raleigh

Smh... I LOVE COLD STONE CREAMERY, but NOT this one. I've been to several locations across several states and this one is no good. My mom ordered a simple sweet cream I've cream and Oreo cookies and felt like she was being put down by the server, Nikki for her "basic" dessert choice, she didn't eat much of it because it tasted like apple cinnamon. We think their scoops weren't cleaned off very well. My sister got one of their signature creations and said it was so runny and melted. I ordered a signature creation too and asked to make a substitution (which I do EVERY SINGLE TIME, at EVERY SINGLE LOCATION-even this one SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE). This same server, Nikki says I can not sub, but I can pay for an addt'l mix in. I asked since I'm taking off one mix in, in place for another- how much is taken off. Nothing, but there are no signs saying that there are no substitutions... I tried to understand her logic of some mix in's being more or less "valuable" than others BUT it was nonsense because ALL mix in's cost EXACTLY THE SAME $.79!! Nevertheless, I figure she needed to fill an "add on sales quota" or something and refused to have something I am not pleased with. It was just unfortunate because this used to be a great location. I spoke with a couple seated beside us and they too noticed how melty the ice cream was. I guess they don't keep it as cold to make it easy on themselves when mixing. I was very angry to see a kid jumping over the counter to get into the food service area, she walked and even crawled around. I feel confident she was an employees child who needed not be there at all!! I was so disappointed and felt so bad that I brought my Mom here, all I could do was apologize. OH and there were dead bugs ALL OVER the bathroom. The sink and toilet bowl were clean but the dead spider behind the toilet tank and dead spider on top of the toilet paper dispenser freaked my...

My family will never go back to this store. I have ordered two cakes from this store in 2017. One in February for my husband's 50th birthday. When I went to pick it up, it was never made. I had a 45 minute drive to pick up that cake and it was not there. The young man working said that I could wait while he made it. I had two sons at home with the flu at the time. So, I was not going to sit there that long. Today is my son's 16th birthday. I ordered a custom cake from the same store online thinking that the same crazy thing certainly couldn't happen a second time. I had a pick-up time of 11:30 this morning. At least this time, I received a phone call literally as I was walking out the door to pick it up that it had not been made by the night shift again. Today, I waited for it to be made and delayed the pick up with the intention of speaking with the manager when I got there. The ONLY employee working was the same young man working that day in February who remembered me and what happened that day. He was not 'allowed' to give me contact information for his boss (email or phone number). I said would you like to call her and ask her if she would rather give me her email address or that I go online and leave a review? He started dialing her number, thought twice and said that he was not allowed to give out her contact information. I said: Surely, I am not the only person that this happens to? He just shook his head...

When you see COLDSTONE..... just drive on by, keep going, and find you a BREWSTER'S where the real ice cream can be found. This was my first time visiting here and the only reason I went is because my husband who had a gift card talked me into it. From the time I walked in the door and saw them take the ice cream and put it on a chopping board and pour artificial sweeteners and toppings on top of the ice cream and then take the spatulas and Pat the ice cream and mix the toppings in..... I knew it was over after that!! However, I still made myself try it anyway. So I got a waffle cone, which was not fresh and the taste was not appealing. Also I ordered a regular size and that was not even enough to fill the cone, but not at BREWSTER'S!! Last but not least, I was really disappointed with the presentation!! It looked like MESS!! Nothing like the photo of what I ordered, it was just thrown together, and needless to say I didn't eat it because it tasted as horrible as it looked especially with those artificial toppings. If the ice cream is any good, after the toppings, it takes away from it big time. I guess BREWSTER'S has me spoil, but I will never enter into a COLDSTONE again even...
