Midtown Pho was a perfect place for a cold rainy day .... Place was jammed packed so everyone had the same idea of cold wet rainy day food lol I first visited this place when it first opened and man oh man they improved big time ! The staff here are super nice and attentive and food vibe is awesome. Sat at the bar and ordered BBH aka Bun Bo Hue and Spring rolls with a cup of iced Viet coffee.. So let's start with the spring rolls.. perfectly fried and filled with pork, carrots, wood ear mushrooms and noodles.. served with the correct dipping sauce ... which is fish sauce with lemon sugar and sambal .. unlike other places who gives you thai sweet chili sauce .. Next up is the BBH .. executes pretty good with the correct flavor profile and heat level.. other places usually taste more of a spicy pho broth than correct BBH broth which should have notes of lemon grass and spices .. the bowl is filled with different cuts of meats and plenty of noods.. only thing that was missing was the pork hock aka pigs feet . And congealed blood cakes ... which I can do without the blood cakes lol .. but the pork hock is essential.. But overall an excellent piping hot bowl of BBH :-) The cafe sua da aka Viet coffee was nice and strong and not overly sweet .. Definitely will be back to try the other dishes... the first time I came the pho was pretty good ..

I enjoyed the vegetable pho and hot green tea. The pho was delicious with a lovely, delicate broth, and included carrots, broccoli, white onion, scallion, bok choy, and tofu. The portion was generous, delicious, and I would order again. I would've loved more vegetables and some mushrooms to have been included. I also would've loved for the tofu to have been fried on more than 2 sides. I found the partially fried tofu to be unenjoyable and ultimately didn't eat it. The hot green tea was interesting as it was loose tea leaves, confined to a metal tea holder, rather than the more common teabag, served in a teapot. The tea flavor was unique, though took some getting accustomed to. I would order again. I have 2 suggestions for the ownership/ management: 1) Switch to straws by request. For a number of reasons, I don't want a server placing a plastic straw in my drink. 2) Evaluate the spraying of cleaning chemicals on tables. It is a challenge to limit the aerosolization of those chemicals when sprayed and it will impact the dining experience of those nearby. I will look forward to visiting again the next time I'm in the area.

Nice little restaurant with modern decor. It looked very nice on the inside and I enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered the summer rolls and the grilled summer rolls. The rolls were good but didn’t contain all the ingredients listed on the menu. None of the spring rolls and summer rolls had basil which I think is a main ingredient for spring rolls. One of my grilled summer had noodles and the other one didn’t. We also ordered the combo beef pho and combo vermicelli noodle. The pho was good but it is quite pricey for only steak, beef brisket, and meatballs. Typically restaurants serve combination beef pho with steak, beef brisket, meatballs, tendon, and tripe. The size of the pho was a little smaller than the average pho I eat at other restaurants as well. Same with the vermicelli, it was good but the serving size was small considering the price. The sauce for the vermicelli was also not very flavorful. It was a bit bland mixed in with everything else. But, the meat helped to add a lot to the flavor to the dish. The food did come out quite quick though so I appreciate that.

Midtown Pho in Raleigh is hands down one of my go-to spots when I need my Vietnamese food fix. Sure, their pho is delicious—warm, comforting, and hits all the right notes—but the real MVP here? The vermicelli. It’s so good, I’d put it on a pedestal if it didn’t disappear from my bowl so fast. Seriously, you’ll find yourself thinking, "Pho who?" once you get a taste of that perfect noodle dish. The best part? Midtown Pho isn’t just about the classics. Their menu is like a greatest hits album of Vietnamese cuisine, with more options than you’ll know what to do with. Whether you're in the mood for something light, spicy, or just plain delicious, they’ve got you covered. It’s one of those places where you can't go wrong no matter what you order, but trust me—get the vermicelli. Plus, the atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it the perfect spot for a chill night out or a quick lunch when you're craving something satisfying. Midtown Pho is a Raleigh gem, and if you haven’t been, your taste buds are seriously missing out.
