âSorry for the long wait, weâre still in the queue here, thank you.â ~ DoorDash Support, the MVP of missing-in-action customer service.
Apparently, La Farm works for DoorDash now?
Iâve ordered from La Farm twiceâonce for delivery, once for pickupâand somehow both times were a mess.
Letâs start with the delivery: the sandwiches and coffee were great! The box of mini scones we also ordered? Nowhere to be found. The dasher ghosted us, the restaurant said, âTake it up with DoorDash,â and unless I wanted to hop in my car and go chase down some baked goods, that was it. Annoying, but whateverâthe sandwiches won us over.
So for Motherâs Day, we placed a big pickup order thinking, âHey, what could possibly go wrong if we get it ourselves?â
Turns out, La Farm handed our $115 order to a DoorDash driver by mistake. The driver was supposed to pick up a $25 two-sandwich order but walked away with our entire brunch feast instead (HOW..?). When I explained the mix-up to the employee, she kindly offered to remake everythingâbut we didnât have time to wait around.
I asked for a refund, but surprise! La Farm canât refund DoorDash orders. Even though I paid La Farmâor so I thought. So now Iâm stuck on hold with DoorDash support for 2 hours to explain that my order was hijacked by the wrong driver.
The kicker? The La Farm employee said theyâd mark the order as ânot picked upâ to make the refund easier. Instead, they marked it as âcompleted,â which meant DoorDash had to personally call the store to confirm my story⊠but guess what? La Farm doesnât answer their phone.
I called multiple times before even going to pick up my order to confirm it was readyâno answer. They donât mark orders as âreadyâ in the app either, so youâre just left guessing.
In hindsight, I wouldâve been better off grabbing some Uncrustables and a McCafĂ©.
I get that things go wrong (I worked in a bakery for 2 years), but when no oneâs willingâor even ableâto fix them, it turns into a customer service disaster. If La Farm is essentially a DoorDash satellite location now, maybe they should take some responsibility for resolving these issues? Just a thought.
No wonder they don't answer the phone, customers must be calling all day to inquire about their messed up order.
Iâm sure on a normal day La Farm is solid, but after this two-hour refund chase, Iâll take my chances with a Krispy...
Read moreWe ordered brunch last weekend to go from this location. We were so excited to have one so close to where we live. While my husband was there he overheard loud complaints from other staff about the effectiveness of the cook which caused him to check his order before leaving. We were not given the scones that are included in the Sunday brunch meals and there was one portion of potatoes in one box and less than half a portion of potatoes in the other box. When we asked we got a shrugged answer that theyâd already run out of potatoes (at 8:45am) and that she put the scones in and put an extra scone for the trouble. When he got home we opened the box to see only those scones we were supposed to have had in the first place and almost no potatoes in one of the boxes. What potatoes we had and the quiche we ordered were stone cold (I donât expect piping hot food on to go orders but I do expect at least warm) and the scones were stale. For the amount of money they ask for their product it had better be worth it and what we received was not worth even half. I wrote this complaint into La Farms âcontact usâ portion of their website merely wanting to bring it to their attention that there are growing pains in their new store that are affecting customer experience. I received absolutely no response. An âIâm sorry you had this experience we are working with the team to improve training in this locationâ would have been enough but it seems that La Farm simply doesnât care about guest experience. They have lost...
Read moreI am a sucker for chicken salad. And I've been waiting for months to have a chance to go by this place. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich (to go), and it came with a salad. I'm sorry to say, because I don't things that I have ever given a bad review for any restaurant, that it was the most bland, boring chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. It had everything in it that should make it taste great, but it was on this giant brioche bun, which was way too much bread in comparison to the little bit of chicken salad, and the chicken salad just really didn't have much of a flavor. For $13 I was just really disappointed. I recently had one at Village Deli in Village District, and it was fantastic. The chicken salad at Snoopy's is better than what I had today. Also, regarding the "salad", they just put a few greens, a slice of cucumber, and a slice of tomato inside the box, with the sandwich. So the "salad" was placed, loose in the box, on cardboard - so I'm not sure how they would think that I could put any dressing on the greens, etc. and then actually eat it. The dressing would soak into the box and out of the crevices. It was the weirdest experience I've ever had ordering something to go. Anyway, the atmosphere was great, the bread on the shelves was fresh and looked amazing, and they have massive amounts of different desserts. I'm sure I'll go back, but I certainly would never order chicken salad again. Sadly, it will go down in history as being the most bland chicken salad I've...
