Jumbo China Restaurant — Restaurant in Raleigh

We have frequented Jumbo China for the last three years. In this time, my food has been great, taste and portions generous. Today, I place a substantial order as usual. Upon arrival our arrival home, we were dismayed that our order was a far cry from what we ordered. We returned following a call to inform them of the error. They apologized and asked us to return for the correct orders. Mind you, we live seven (7) miles from the restaurant but we did return to get what was originally ordered. We returned home to eat what was susposed to be lunch. To our utter dismay, the order was still wrong. It was nowhere near what we ordered. We called back to speak to the manager, the female receiver of our call stated the mgr. was busy, We demanded the mgr. be put on the telephone. The receiver placed the phone down and continued to take orders, never alerting the mgr. to our call. We hung up and called back, this time the female receiver hung up on us. We drove to the establishment for a third time. Upon our arrival, the female receiver denied answering the phone. What became crystal clear upon our third visit on this day was that the Jumbo China was no longer being managed by Asians as it had in the past. Every staff person in the restaurant were Latino. Their English was broken and seemed not to fully understand the scope of the issue at hand. That's right the Asians sold out to Latinos. Food is really good quick and affordable.. I used to go there but I am deciding to tell the true reason I stopped going and thankfully I did. I used to go for the fried rice and veggies.. However when my mom was living she ordered chow me in noodles and her noodle moved.. It was a worm the color of the noodles. I am so thankful she caught it. We have not had jumbo china since.. The actual worm crawled proudly out of her noodles.. I am surprised this place is still up and running. That worm came from them. I only go to upscale Chinese or Asian places! I learned my lesson.

Does not deserve a star at all -10 stars because that is a sanitation issue and she could of got sick if she didnt catch it but my mom and I are always careful before we eat we literally check our food. Thanks to our carefulness we saw it crawling out of the noodles (gross)!! So gross I did not do a review on it when it happened. But I want to warn others.

Was extremely disappointed in this place. Clearly asked for fried rice with my Hibaci plate and was told that was extra...comes with brown rice. No problem. Glad to pay it. Meal arrives and it is NOT fried rice. Instead, it is a very bland brown rice. #1 reason for extreme dissatisfaction. #2 They were very deceptive about a "special" that they were currently running. Spend $30, dinner only, and get a free sweet and sour chicken, 6 crab Rangoon and your choice of 3 egg rolls or soup. We picked soup after ordering several more items to meet the $30 requirement as the person at the counter "explained" the special. The ONLY thing we received for "free" was the soup. When confronted about how deceptive they were, no remorse and no remedy. These people are textbook Charlatans and do not deserve to be in business treating people in this manner. Bottom line, the food was far less than average for a local strip mall Chinese joint and the people are not forthright at all. I would not go back if...
